  • miss some of my boston friends grew up down the hill from us everything in this is a good memory

  • i love this song what memories

  • Great song that still holds up 35 years later. Very much a songwriter's classic.

  • THIS A AWESOME SONG

  • Fantastic TUNE !!! Wow the memories just come flooding back. Oh to turn back the hands of time for just a little while.

  • a song that has followed me since I was 4 this song brings back memories

  • Thank You to whomever posted the video to this song. Love the Gold record ! <3 this song by Dave Loggins.

  • 5 dislikes must be Justin Bieber & Lady GaGa fans they are so use to no talent that when they come upon true talent sadly they don't recognize it.

Loved the video and the song

  • @AdamCartwrightILoveU Gaga has talent. Maybe her song writing is not the best but that woman can sing.

  • @deaconblue28 ,

it amazes me sometimes what people think is talent. This is true talent Lady CACA is not .. wake up!!! Todays talent is all done by computers & a phoney images that sells that's it.Although there are a few that have true talent Lady CACA is not one of them sorry...

  • Love, Love,Love this song ! alwaz have , alwaz will...:)

  • Happy 64th Birthday Dave Loggins!

  • I sang this song so many times, so many years ago. Now that I listen

to it here I am embarrassed. This is pure gold, and no one could ever

    do it like Dave Loggins.

  • There's a "Like" option and a 'thumbs-down' option - but where is the "LOVE!!!" option?! :) I just love this song, always have. Isn't it evocative? The pictures the lyrics draw are so sweet, longing.... and who hasn't ever felt something like the characters' stories told in this song? His side, her side - his need to be a drifter but his need for his woman; her need to have him come 'home' to her... Well, timeless, beautiful scentiments. What a voice. Love Dave Loggins. And the last line!

  • Did he ever do a live performance of this tune? I'd like to see it.

  • Haven't listened to Dave Loggins in forever!! I have several of his albums...good song!!!

  • So prettu. Grew up in Gloucester, Ma and of course Boston is a favorite city of mine.

  • Really Great song......have always loved it!

  • Rod, This is one of the best compilations I've seen on youtube. Very nicely done. Great images to go with a beautiful song. Thank you for sharing.

  • wow this sing is soooo awesome...makes you really think whats really important in your life..your Woman....

  • great song.i used to sing this song to the ladies.

  • Guy goes from living with friends ---to having his own beach house-- obviously he beacame a drug- dealer

  • HEAVY SONG BRINGS BACK GOOD MEMORIES OF MY CAREFREE LIFE I SOMETIMES WISH I COULD RELIVE THOSE DAYS.

  • I love these lyrics the most...

Please come to LA...to live forever

A California life alone...it just to hard to build

I live in a house that...looks out over the ocean

***And there's some stars...that fell from the sky****

You always find a way to make me smile and cry...

  • @blue29eyes yeah this is further proof that Dave Coe was one of the best song writers ever. When Johnny Paycheck was asked about "Take this job and shove it" he said "no I didn't write it some other guy did." Up until then he and David Allen Coe were good friends.

  • Well could you at least visit Boston and Denver?

  • this was my parents "song" they are both dead now...and I imagine they are listening to this where ever they are now

  • Great music - for sure - and I appreciate the time you invested in the video production. Good on ya.

  • please come back to Tennessee, my hubby sez, I said no would you come home to me? Saskatchewan ain't his kinda place Love his wife always DEnise

  • I get it that the guy was a bit of a drifter, but the girl had no sense of adventure! I think it was pretty romantic that no matter where he roamed, he always asked her to be by his side...he never forgot her...just saying,...I mean, if she really was his #1 fan that is....and that line about "we'll throw I love you echoes down the canyon, and then lie awake at night til they come back around" Whaaat? Man, you let a man say something that romantic to me...shoot! I'll come to Denver! Haha!

  • I would have went!!

  • very well done

  • Classic song and great video too!!

  • my goodness I miss the songs like these ....they just dont have this type anymore ...although joan beaz version is very good also is a blessing to remember the 70s

  • Please come back to Tennessee, from the number one fan of the woman from Saskatchewan.....

  • "And throw 'I Love Yous' down the canyon"..one of the songs on my list that I want playing if I ever find a way to have "her" in my life..I love you Trudy..for 35 years imy feelings never waned..and I know they never will..and my heart aches with a pain and sorrow of loss so deeply seeded that I know I'll die if I never get to tell you I love you just one more time..and one more time after that..and one more time after that...

  • Best part at 1:15, "Please, come to Denver with the snowfall."

  • 3 dislikes!?! Phillistines. This is a very well crafted song. And the video is a great enhancement.

  • @soilsminor Thanks for the comment and also for teaching me a new word.

Phillistines....a person who is guided by materialism and is usually disdainful of intellectual or artistic values.

  • @yendor61 HAHA indeed. will have to remember is meaning. thank you as well. and thank YOU for posting this BEAUTIFUL song. and mr loggins for singing it

  • @soilsminor some people just don't appreciate great works

  • @soilsminor You are spot on with the Phillistines.

  • dam song makes my eyes get all blurry. always has.

  • One of the greatest songs... OF ALL TIME ! !

  • beautiful.

  • Absolutely beautiful song! I Remember this so well! Brings back great memories! Dave Loggins has such a beautiful voice. Great scenery too in this video! Just a song that makes me feel happy! Really nice job on this video!!

  • Saw this video-remembered this from college and thought of Bella Bellucci who misses her little town.

  • liked his singing and especially this song but in person he was a jerk, too full of himself! (met him in Fla)

  • I'm not sure why people think saying 'no copyright infringement intended' means you're not infringing copyright. Or why they think the 'fair use' clause means they can use other people's material without permission.

  • I forgot to say "Thanks, yendor!" You have done a wonderful job with the video.:)

  • This is probably my favorite song of all time. How I love it and cry when I hear it. I love this guy's voice so much. <3

  • One of my all time favorites! It always brings tears to my eyes, I have someone that matches this lady!

  • "please come to Boston and help me grow pot." true hippie song.

  • I've heard several "good" remakes of this, just tonight. But there's something about this one that just reverberates thru my memory and heart. The tone of Dave's voice and the haunting instruments combine to bring sweet torturous pleasure with each listening experience. Thank you Dave! GOD bless you brother!

  • When I left in 1981 for the Canadian coast, I told T.W. it was only for a few months to get set up for us. I could see it in her eyes that she didn't believe me, but I really did mean it..except a few months turned to six..then to twelve and someone came along and I sold it all down the fucking tubes for a two week torrid affair of drugs and drunkeness and meaningless sexual depravation..and I'd give anything to have the opportunity back...now I'm crying like an idiot...

  • Always been one of my favorites! Couldn't have said it better myself!

  • Just a great tune! This song was my favorite at 10 years old, 30 years old, and now 45 years old...Thanks for the upload yendor61...

  • this is such a "real" and heartfelt song. Love it. always have and always will.

  • If he's from Tennessee, he didn't have to go further than Memphis...

  • Remembering a ride thru the mountains....

  • Love this song. Almost reminds me of Jim Croce, definitely Glen Cambell before the fall. Or a snow-driven day leaving Flagstaff for the Canyonlands with a girl on my arm. And a dream in front of me. Here's to girlfriends and love and the rainbows. Here's to the high plains and the memories that blue sky days bring to mind and the endless quest of the endless heart. Thank you Dave Loggins.

  • a truly great song.

  • always loved this song

  • Great song ... great video Rod !!

  • Great song .....if its sung by Dave Loggins

  • @jacofall7 That's mean~ :P

  • My Mom worked with Dave at Bristol Metals in the '60's.

  • Used to play this as a guitar-voice duet with my "mentor" in San Jose. Not a dry eye in the house, as it should be.

  • Great video and song. Really love those songs of the 70s.

  • Great job on this video. Love the music especially. Reminds me of two lovers with different dreams of happiness. Kind of sad, but what is happiness without its counterpart?

  • This song is a classic!! I was only 3 when it was released but I do remember it well. Always brings back happy memories.

  • Isn't this one the most beautiful songs you've ever heard?

  • What a beautiful song! This one has always been able to make my eyes misty.

  • Was he related to Kenny Loggins?

  • If my memory serves me correctly, I believe they were cousins. Thanks for droppin by to watch.

    Peace~~~Rod

  • My mistake, wikipedia says no relation between these 2 guys.

  • I just checked the Wiki entry, and it says that Dave is indeed Kenny's cousin...also, Kenny's entry says the same thing.

  • Thats funny, when I checked the other day it said no relation but I thought they were. Thanks for the correction. I will have to revisit the site.
