i remember when i felt it i was playing my playstation and all of a sudden i felt this shaking i was all like holy crap omg it's a earthquake we have to get out of here i was so scared it almost gave me a heartattack i was only 7 years old
@iJackie5432 you would think so but think about how people around the epicenter would be trying to call emergency services and using the internet to warn their friends some people would know but by the time someone was able to contact a major news corporation it may be too late to warn the mass of people in the area.
i dont think so. i think its alot faster. we just had a 4.4 this morning and tht felt scarey, but a 7.8? thts bad. i feel srry for chie too, with an 8.8, they had our Big One 1000 times over
Hince the problem of building ciites so close to the fault line. dont get me wrong ive been to Cail and its a gorgeous state, but anything larger than a 7.0 mag will be catastrophic to most cities along the fault, or will feel the effect of the quake.
@michellemag83 Industrial Velcro! Buy it on eBay. Start putting it on the base of your TV, etc. Don't have picture frames hanging over your bed. Set up an Emergency First Aid Duffle Bag. Work Gloves, Flashlight, but keep the batteries out until needed, and replace them every two years. Buy some Bottled Water. Average person uses 3gal per day. Don't put plastic bottles on top of concrete, they react, making the water toxic. Have a piece of cardboard between. Hope that helps.
i click on the video.... the music hit and i was thinking, "oh snap" this can't be good lol

it seems to me that there would be plenty of time to warn people in Los Angeles
because it will take 71 Seconds for the Extreme Shaking to occur.
i got this info on top of the video.
