It's 40 years old and still going strong, you can't buy too many products like that. They are a bit noisy but so what. Speed controller is a weak point but they are not hard to fix if it fails, if it happens it will only run at full speed or not at all.
@ohyrag Well I loved that machine when I had it. Got it free at a Salvation Army cherity shop in Gorse Hill Swindon England for free as I was doing volunteer work there. My Ex tossed it out after I came back to the States and it was in perfect working condition. I would've loved to have brought it back..
This machines are fantastic! I got one just like yours in red colour, and it`s a fantastic machine! I got mine in the basement now at my fathers place, because i have byed a Major. Anyway, i love bouth my Kenwood machines.
I'm now living back in America.. I'd love to bring that thing back if I visited again. Way too heavy to ship. I miss it big time.. But.. I do have a 1970 yellow Sunbeam Mixmaster
You're lucky to get one of these in such good condition. They were made up until about 1975 when they changed the speed control to electronic and a lot of the casing to plastic! They're strong enough to mix concrete if you anyones crazy enough to do that.

It looks like a 701A. Made in the early 70s or there abouts.
I made three cakes today with mine...
Cheers,
