@dawiccaman that's very true...buddha could be kind of witch in a sense...hmm...i think some witches find the wisdom within...naturally...but,buddha trains meditation to become the awaking true self...which is the word buddha...stands for...hmm...they are both mystical and magical...for a good sense for today...

just wondering, um is it just me or does anyone else notice that when it comes to the word witch, it's considered feminate. there are male witches out there. i am a witch and i'm a man. i don't like the term warlock. guess its all about what we prefer to call ourselves. i just get alittle annoyed when people try to correct me and call me warlock.
When someone tries to correct me and tells me "don't you mean you are a Warlock?", I tell them that the Word "Warlock" means "Traitor, or Oathbreaker", then I let them think about that and walk away, I am not annoyed in any way, I am not Angry, I am Objective. I will also say a Little prayer for that Person that they will someday live life with an open mind and opened arms

I was giving someone a hard time because they were trying to convert people to their religion (Christianity). I was not "speaking for the Gods". As far as it being "basic psychology", I am quite aware of all of that way of thinking entails as I have a psychology degree. However, if one chooses to believe in deity, this is their choice and their right, and they should not be derided for it.

I've practiced Wicca for close to 5 years now and I've had some really cutting things said to me by friends and strangers alike, even a few very scary moments when I thought someone was trying to run me over with their car or hurt me when they found out my beliefs (I live in MS). So it is definitely comforting to see words from a Christian that don't slander or spread hate about witchcraft. A true Christian is rare, and you are too my friend.

I however was not happy being Christian, eventhough I did my very best... spent 2 years traveling spreading His word (at my own expense) abstaing from alcohol and premarital sex until about age 29. After months of exploring various faiths and philosophies I felt pure, divine Goddess love while admiring the full moon. Ever since then, my desire to do good came from within me... cont.
@SilentNight700 I like how you clarify worshiping God vs. practicing religion. Kudos for that. By "human authority" I meant members of the priesthood, i.e. humans. I believe that true justice can only come from the divine. You told @MarmaladeMonster "wicca has no consequences" not true. Most of us live by the 'rule of three' which is basically karma, or reaping what you sow. And there are Wiccan Christians, I still sometimes pray to God in the name of Jesus; I'm an eclectic.
I was raised Catholic, and about a year and half ago...I realized I hated it. (no offense to Catholics...) My parents made me get confirmed. But I consider myself to have no religion (not athiest)

@MarmaladeMonster I was raised in a Christian faith too. I really didn't like being told by a human authority that I'm a sinner, when I wasn't wronging or harming myself or anyone else. I recently figured out that witchcraft, wicca and pagan weren't what I was brought up to believe. I am agnostic now, but needed something spiritual in my life, wicca fit perfectly. I've never felt more at peace and happy; total freedom to seek my own spiritual path.

People ask me about witchcraft. Simple advice- dont do it. it doesnt only ruin your own life inviting dark forces causing bad affect such as depression, suicide, physical disorders later on, but your future generations as well. one should NEVER mess with one's free will. once you release bad intention onto someone as a spell, same force comes back three times stronger to the original sender. Think before you ruin your life..
@RUSSKAYAG Congrats, I have never seen anyone transition from complete BS to speaking a truth as smoothly as you did. Yes, we believe the three-fold law, but the witches I know, including myself, DON'T release negative energies, in fact most of us actively combat it. After a 7 year absence from the craft, I have returned to it, and my depression has gone away, not increased, since I once again began my studies. If those are the effects you experienced, then you went into with negative emotions.

My dear kingfisher, I do understand that some christians are bigots and are absolutly horrid! But please do not put everyone in that link. I am a rather odd duck in my family and I belive that whatever deity is there they can take the shape and form of everyones belife because they are all powerful. Anyone who cannot see the beauty in this needs to take the time and look in themselves. Why are you really insulted? if it is because you do not understand then I am sorry for this. ^^

@SilentNight700 ...cont.... rather than from outside of me (i.e. trying to please God, or fear of breaking His commandments.) And I'm happy, not suicidal like I had been in my 20's and early 30's. I can only speak for myself.

I however was not happy being Christian, eventhough I did my very best... spent 2 years traveling spreading His word (at my own expense) abstaing from alcohol and premarital sex until about age 29. After months of exploring various faiths and philosophies I felt pure, divine Goddess love while admiring the full moon. Ever since then, my desire to do good came from within me... cont.

@SilentNight700 I like how you clarify worshiping God vs. practicing religion. Kudos for that. By "human authority" I meant members of the priesthood, i.e. humans. I believe that true justice can only come from the divine. You told @MarmaladeMonster "wicca has no consequences" not true. Most of us live by the 'rule of three' which is basically karma, or reaping what you sow. And there are Wiccan Christians, I still sometimes pray to God in the name of Jesus; I'm an eclectic.

I was raised Catholic, and about a year and half ago...I realized I hated it. (no offense to Catholics...) My parents made me get confirmed. But I consider myself to have no religion (not athiest)
I stumbled upon Wicca while doing a history project...and I like it a lot! It's pretty much my own beliefs and philosophies, but as an established religion. So I'm thinking of becoming one...any tips? :)

@MarmaladeMonster I was raised in a Christian faith too. I really didn't like being told by a human authority that I'm a sinner, when I wasn't wronging or harming myself or anyone else. I recently figured out that witchcraft, wicca and pagan weren't what I was brought up to believe. I am agnostic now, but needed something spiritual in my life, wicca fit perfectly. I've never felt more at peace and happy; total freedom to seek my own spiritual path.

@rusman74x Same here, with Christianity, it always seemed like "This is what I say, so you believe it"...
Paganism is more like "This is what our religion is basically, Most believe in this, but you don't have to if you don't want to" kind of thing. It's up to you to make it your own... :)

People ask me about witchcraft. Simple advice- dont do it. it doesnt only ruin your own life inviting dark forces causing bad affect such as depression, suicide, physical disorders later on, but your future generations as well. one should NEVER mess with one's free will. once you release bad intention onto someone as a spell, same force comes back three times stronger to the original sender. Think before you ruin your life..

@RUSSKAYAG Congrats, I have never seen anyone transition from complete BS to speaking a truth as smoothly as you did. Yes, we believe the three-fold law, but the witches I know, including myself, DON'T release negative energies, in fact most of us actively combat it. After a 7 year absence from the craft, I have returned to it, and my depression has gone away, not increased, since I once again began my studies. If those are the effects you experienced, then you went into with negative emotions.

This video is so inspiring:) Listen,I was a pentecostal christian before I came to wicca, and one thing Ive learned throughout all my experiences is that we DONT have the right to judge each other, period.The only problem I have with christians is their constant posting of scripture on vids such as this one.We dont follow the christian bible, so satan and your guilt tactics will not work on us.I have never felt so free since I became wiccan.Please just leave us be:)

@JezusSlave If the lord created me out of love than why on would he detest me when he allready knows what is to become of me. See, this is where the bible gets quite confusing. The bible says he is a loving god that creates us all and that he knows all this stuff, but yet the bible seems to twist it and say I will only love you if.
