I'm so glad they got rid of Chris Bangle. I hope Hookey Dookey whateverthefuk moves back to something that looks like a BMW and not some dogshit Toyota Camry.
@MrHenryDT chris bangle had some bad cars but also some very good cars. look at the new 7 series... the best ever (bangle) the e60 5 series Msport looks better than the next gen f10 msport. Chris bangle made some grear cars so please dont talk rubbish.
According to ABC National News, the BMW has more fatalities than just about ANY other car on the road, per mile driven. Cadillac has one of the fewest. MORE BMW drivers die, per mile driven, than Cadillac drivers. That is a solid FACT! BMW's grill was indeed designed after Hitler's mustache. That is a FACT! The designer HIMSELF said that.
First bimmer was the 2001 X5 3.0 next was the 2008 128i and now I will add one of these bad motherf*ckers to my BMW's. BMW inline 6's are fantastic; I have only driven the non turbocharged inline 6's (besides for the 535xi and must I say that car is stupid fast). I have been saving up for this car since early 2010 and the most excruciating part of this process is waiting for this car to come out.
I find everything about the 1 series purposeful...except they are keeping the twin turbo set up and using it as a starting point from there with the M1, this is good, however, I think the more reliable and refined I-6 old 333hp M3 engine would be a better starting point. Yes, 2 turbos this and that, Yes this amount of torque at this RPM and that, but nobody can disagee with the old M3 6cyl engine, has plenty of everything, i say why destroy a good thing? give it life again...
@6UNLEASHED Not a a starting point, no. All they have done is taken the engine from the Z4 and put it straigh in, no tweaking what so ever. they only diffrence between the engine in this and the one in the 335i is that the 335 has switched to a single bigger turbo (a lot of people done realise this) I think its funny how a few weeks after audi announce a 340hp RS3 BMW announce a 340hp 1 series. Despite it not having a "true" M engine, i still have one. Its closer to the older M3s.
@Aliasify Companies are always taking shots at eachother, trying to raise the bar for the next biggest thing...Yes, BMW did drop the twin turbo set up and is now moving to a single twin scroll turbo, if im not mistaken. Im all for the advancements and technology both companies are striving for, but BMW is simply amazing.
M1 es mi m-serie favorito ahora, pedazo de maquina...el mas pequeño de la linea, pero con una gran motorización !, ya lo quiero....gracias BMW por fabricar estos maravillosos autos : ))
I'm very excited about this car because i think of it as a revival to th mk1 M3 of the '90's. Lightweight car light engine stiff chassis, much smaller than the current M3... Not that there's anything wrong with the M3 but that feels to me more exciting more get up and go... I like like like
This is my most favourite car of all time. I am a huge BMW fan and ive always loved the Z3 M coupe, Z4 M Coupe, every M3 and every M5. My number one favourite has always been the BMW E30 M3 Sport Evolution (pictured here with the 1 Series M Coupe) and now this has arrived, thankyou BMW.
I own two beautiful bimmers; A silver 2001 X5 (blk interior) and a black drop top 2008 128i (blk interior). I agree with you 100%. Although I have only driven regular BMWs, the ride is incredible, the beauty of these vehicles are astonishing, and they are sheer pleasure to drive. I have always heard about the mighty M cars but have never driven one yet. Hopefully I can scrap up enough money in this shitty economy to buy one of these without sacrificing my cars or my savings.
@XxlMf40xX I dont think so, the M3 is the most successful touring car of all time winning the most races during its lifetime, The current M3 is faster than the current RS 4 0-60, 0-100 and round a track AND quicker than the new RS 5 round the top gear test track IN THE WET even thought the M3 is almost 4 years old and less powerfull. The RS 5 is slower in the tight bends, its too heavy and underpowered, it cant pull away in the long bends either. I'm a big fan of Audi's but do your research mate
@iMiEbAbY This is the best car they've come out with in years. They've been to busy competing with mercedes on a luxury stand point, but this car goes back to bmw's roots. A true drivers car like the old 2002's and E30 models.
