@SUBWAY125 this project was primarily about what happens when cars don't stop for railroad crossings and how they can cause a derailment or even get killed, if anything this was in support of train engineers

The accident at 0.58 happened at Upton Nevert (uk) a man decided to commit suicide and parked his car on the level crossing ( which is gated ). The car was hit by a 125 intercity train traveling at around 100 mph +. It could have ended in just a derailment but the lead engine hit a set of points which deflected the engine and its train over the track. Sadly the driver and I think nine innocent passengers were killed. The car driver's fate is obvious.

I remember it looked like the train ate the freight train. Let's see, the Amtrak ran into a parked freight train. No deaths I believe. They showed a video, the Amtrak like came to a sudden stop.
