OSX vs XP vs Vista start and shut down times.

And this video shows nothing. What are the full specs of the computers? If this is to test OS boot times it should be done on the same hardware. If it's to test each computer then the same OS should be used. In the end it's a worthless video.

Just save your music files etc on the laptop that has vista and put ubuntu 9.10 on it. You can always dual boot if you like just to test and see if you like it better or not. but the boot time only thing I can say to fix that is get more ram 512mb is way to low for vista its ram hungry!!! and clean out your start up get rid of all the crud you don't use that much even uninstalling all the junk programs you don't use.

If you don't have money for ram just look up vids on here to boost your speed
