I think he was just confused about the v4 thing since ford will be putting a 4 cylinder ecoboost in applications like the explorer, and maintenance doesn't look like a problem as long as they don't just measure the engine bay and stuff it in there. The only maintenance issue I can foresee is may be the DI pump and reaching the accessory drive on fwd models.

1. They don't make V4's. 2. This even close to being in 34% of their cars right now.
