  • really good. How long did it take to make this? My christmas diorama was made in 3 days so it is not as detailed. This is really nice.

  • I have a question. Can you send me in a message how you did that mountain/tunnel. I love that idea, and concept. I've been putting up my christmas display for about 10 years now, and I've never seen anything like that tunnel. Please get back to me with any info

  • Givwn it's our first try of a Märklin-meets-snowland, we were pretty fond of it ourselves :)

The PU-foam (some sort of insulation foam) mountain was sprayed on top of a small cardboard box (about 1' x 8") turned upside down with precut entrance and exit. After the foam was applied (and dried completely!) we cut the holes using an old bread knife and a sharp potato peeler knife. It's a rather messy job, but the result was quite satisfying.

Drop a video of your result! Would love to see it! :)

  • That looks really well made. Seeing as I plan to make something similar to this with my model trains, I had a question to ask. How easy was it to cut the foam (the areas you used for tunnels)? If you didnt cut it, how did you keep the foam from filling in the tunnel entrances.
