We definitely need more positive Gay role models.... It is so commendable for these MEN to speak out this way.... Gay has been associated with femininity for way too long.... THERE ARE PLENTY OF MASCULINE GAY MEN OUT THERE.. and they need to be seen and heard.........
@Jimmyboica thanks alot man, appreciate the kind comments. If I can reach just a few young people out there, or anybody in a similar situation then I've done my job. thanks again.
I just wanted to simply say "thank you" for posting this video. I am sure you have touched countless young people struggling with their feelings. I only wish I had access to a video like yours when I was growing up; it would have helped me immensely. And to all you young (and not so young) people out there struggling and feeling alone: You are absolutely not alone and, yes, it gets better! Thanks again, Ryan, you are a "Super Hero!"
Thank you for making this the first video of your history. Thank you for opening yourself up to people and comments and letting that one jock or man of color know that it's getting better day by day! Thank you.
Ryan buddy, awesome job on this! Why didn't you tell me you were doing this video? I am so linking this on Facebook buddy ... the MY are lucky to have you. Hoping we can get the Grizz and the MY together on the pitch again soon! - John
You're a very sweet, very hot guy...good for you for putting forth another voice to this cause. -And if you're ever in Philly, let me know. ;-D (sorry, had to say it, lol)
Interesting how you compared having to hide your sexuality with being a superhero or a secret agent - I wish I had your sense of optimism when I was coming out in high school . . .
@radicaledwards unfortunately they were one of the last few notions that I had left. Had nothing to turn to but my imagination - the internet helped quite a bit, I actually got to talk to individuals from afar who helped me quite a bit. Which is why I am hoping this message reaches whoever can use it
@ThumperTO Coming out is the (not so) easy part of being gay - the hard part (for me at least) is trying to adjust your life amongst gay and straight people at the same time . . .
Oh well, at least your simple but uplifting message made me feel good about myself more than I've ever known :)
@radicaledwards I'm glad to hear that! we all have different situations but the most important thing is you always have to be true to yourself. Life always has a way of working itself out, as long as you're not hurting anybody or yourself, I say do whatever makes you happy. Thanks for your thoughts!
@MrJuly1990ish I was on a documentary recently called 'Bear Nation' which I believe is still airing, not quite sure if it's on DVD yet but it should be out soon. Thanks, glad you liked the message
My dear Rhino, this should give you enough clues to who I am. I am so proud of you and I love you more then you will ever know. You are an inspiration, big kisses
