Man, I love old MXPX, but the new stuff is way too pop-centric. They were always pop-punk, but the split was more like 35-65 in favor of punk. Now it's like 70-30 in favor of pop. Really depressing to hear Mike doing his "girls all love a sensitive guy" crooning so much. Listen to "Do Your Feet Hurt" right after this song to get a sense for the difference. In the old songs, you can hear the rawness in the vocals, and it made the emotion seem significant and spontaneous instead of pre-planned.

MxPx have been a great PUNK band since the mid nineties, they've been a staple of the warped tour and if you knew anything about anything besides gay porn you wouldn't question this band, they are a true original. This song isn't necessarily punk though. Try punk rock show or something.

Christian punk is cool, because they want everyone to get their act together, obey the law and achieve something in life. The problem is people are greedy and find it deprressing playing by the rules. This is why poeple make alot of money and have beautiful girlfriends through organized crime. If a gangster plays by the rules he can never have a beqautiful girlfriend only these rich republican guys can.
