hi are these stock pickups?? i know there's a version with seymour duncans SH1 '59 at the neck and a SH4b at the bridge it's called agile al 3000m, is this a regular agile al 3000 or that version with duncans on it?? planning to get an al 3000 but really don't if it's worth the money to buy the upgrade version because of duncans on it, how are the al 3000 pickups are they good pickups or should i go with the agile 3000m with duncans ??
The Agile sounds way-better. They're not hearing it, but I am. The Epi sounds dull. Pickups are supposed to amplify the natural sound of the guitar, and the Epi pickups just sound dull. The Agile pickups are a lot clearer. But if these are both newer guitars, then the Epi is Chinese-made while the Agile is from Korea. Big difference in construction. And the funny thing is, they probably cost about the same (or close). Epis have dropped off in quality a lot over the years.
I thought this video had no sound, then I realized it only comes out through the left earbud (I usually only have the right one on at work). Is there any way you could record your videos in stereo?
I got the agile 3000M on ebay, it had been upgraded with tone rider alnico IV's all for $349. I also just got a Epi Les Paul Standard for $94, a salvage guitar, new except for a snapped off headstock...so for 94 bucks and a nickle's worth of glue it plays great but not as well as the agile. I sold my Gibson Les Paul Standard after I got the Agile, I just buy stuff now I'm not afraid to play, the Gibson had a neck repair also and that hits the value hard, with a $300 guitar it doesn't matter much
in the sound department, they both sound very similar, but for 400$ u can get a triple bound body, real nice finish... grover tuners.. etc, sweet extras for a great price
its really just the pickups when it comes to sound but epi are built more solid than agile its really just preference i think the agile is lighter can't remember the last time i touched a agile though... but i got a question why bother getting two identically similar guitars around the same price range.. I love les pauls but man i'd get one of every model imo you shoudlve gotten an sg if you want comfort o baby it feels better than les pauls
thats only with active pickups passives do resonate through the wood way more i have 2 very simular guitar one has a mahoganny body and the other has a basswood body same pickups but they sound completely different
i like mahoganny way better than basswood actually i like anything better than basswood i just don't like the sound of basswoodor how its easily demolished with your pick or if you bump it into anything
nice.but i think u should try again with better sound quality, cause its hard t tell any difference cause of the quality.but im sure, i hope, thta the agile sounds better of the two, does it? what do you think of agiles and epiphones? which comes closest?
I love both guitars but push comes to shove I'd have to choose the Agile - the weight and feel is amazing and I love its sound. Check my vids for a few more clips from the Agile. I'm going straight into the computer so the tone gets a bit lost esp with video compression. Cheers.
thanks I really should plan out a few riff and record them from the amp to better show off both guitars. It is amazing the quality you can get at this price level.
hey man thanks. I just played this off the top of my head so I don't have it tabbed out. I can tell you it starts in G then goes to a Cadd9 chord then a G/B chord. Remember too it's down a half step.
Lol Agile AL3000 compares to a Gibson Studio or Standard XD hahaha

I was at Guitar Center today and played with Epiphone Les Paul 100 and the Standard. My new AL 2000 blew them both away!

Both guitars sound very similar, except the Epi is either not tuned as well or it needs a bit of a setup
