@Ashfangirl22 I doubt that he would have shot her unless she tried something or got in his way. She's essentially a baby doctor & Gary Clark wasn't after baby doctors, he was targeting surgeons.

This had to have been the best event. Though its sad and terrifying, the intenseness really got me into this series because they never make it obvious on who is going to die or live.

it would have made for the BEST calzona scene if callie had been shot but not killed. just think about it. ahhhhhh i love calzona.

@1college07 thank God for those whos life is saved by a gun! But still...is better that no one have a gun. I know that there are terrorist who can hurt you. I know. But I wouldn't feel safe if my neighbour had a gun and I wouldn't because some people just don't like guns in houses... I just can't explaine how disturbing that is fro me coming from Europe + I'm not that good in writing English :) You get where I'm comming from?

And he was stupid enough to stick out the same hand he had the gun in too! If that was me, I would've ripped the gun out of his hand and blew his brains the HECK OUT!!! That was the picture-perfect opportunity to do so! I was wondering why that nurse didn't do so!

@dekablueranger Maybe because a)she didn't know how to use a gun(not everyone does), b)Gary's stronger & faster than she is, c)there was a kid there & if she ended up fighting Gary for the gun it could have gone off & the bullet could have hit the kid or Callie or Arizona, d)she was too scared to try, or e)all of the above. Gary was injured but if you watched the whole episode you'd see that he could still move quickly if he had to. Btw Callie's not a nurse, she's a doctor.

@Lizfan2 I did see both entire episodes, when they aired on ABC but I just don't remember them that well. True about not everybody knowing how to use a gun, and I myself never used one. However, I'm just thinking if I was in HER position I think my reflexes are a little faster than hers and hopefully, I'll nevr find myself in this situation, I will hopefully have my own gun if so but I probably would've made the attempt, instinctively.

America isn't actually like this it's just exaggerated on the news and tv shows etc. The reason there are more shooting there is because American news makes everyone scared and thinking that the neighborhood hobo is gonna attack them. In Canada there are just as many guns but our news and stuff isn't trying to scare us and guess what? Barely any murders. Tada!

@totomosobaay barely any murders?? there are no murders here in my country (I know we are boring)... People who wants to hurt someone fast - can't do it. Shure you can...I don't know...kill him with some object or what ever (watching too much NCIS) but you can't do it with a gun.

I'm from Europe. I love grey's anatomy! And this scene is what makes real in America. Why don't people there have law for guns? Is that for real that you can buy guns anywhere? So... America is the land where anything is possible. American dream? Now I know why they call it that way. We get news all the time from America on TV that student attack school. Victims... This is the main reason why I don't want to go to America for holidays. I wouldn't feel safe.

But anyway... greate acting guys!

@nkul12345 there is a law for guns. it's different in every state though. t.v. is always going to exaggerate stuff. you're generalizing. this could happen anywhere. like the terrorist bombs? they recently just happened in europe too, russia, france. there are safe towns (mostly suburbs) and the cities with crime, which could be anywhere. i live in america, and i feel safe. so really, you're generalizing. the us is a safe country, but it has just as much danger as any other country out there

I know I'm probably exaggerating...and I know that having a gun can save someone. Just let the cops do their job. Here in europe no body have a gun and you can't bought it in a store. If you can get it somehow it's illegal. So just emagine America where no body could own a gun...you can say for a fact that crime (involving guns) would reduce....and maybe that kid wouldn't kill all that students...and maybe that man wouldn't shot a salesperson for a couple of cigarettes and 50 dollars. Maybe..?

@nkul12345 i dunno. it's different in every state. where i live, guns aren't legal. in texas though, they are. and kids can't just buy guns at the store. they have to be 21 and of legal age. for school shooters, the kids usually use their father's gun or some old gun they found in the house, or steal it from somewhere. however, those guns are meant for specific reasons like hunting or self-defense/threats/arrests (like for cops).

@remiheth2468 i didnt find it scary but i think the reason i and many people probably cried is because they broke up and many people loved them together and knowing that in this scene they could of got shot and callie realised that she loved arizona no matter what

@11animefan she was scared for her and all the children that's why she started praying he would leave. not everyone can stand up to a dude with a gun and if he would have started shooting he would have got her instead of the lil girl. she was blocking her.

I always admired Arizona as a doctor and of her having an outgoing personality, and was shocked when she freaked out. Seeing that makes me love her even more and I don't blame her for breaking down. She's human, I probably woud've done the same thing. Callie rules for keeping calm and handling the situation. She saved thier lives. The thing that bothers me is that The door should've been shut and locked in the first place!

Amazing. I think Callie really proved her love to Arizona. She would have took a bullet for her. I love this combination and it was my hope we would see them back together. Now to find the kiss/talk where they are outside after the shooting!

When AZ said she wanted callie to prove that she was in love with her and not the idea of being in love, i understood what she meant because callie hasn't really been stay in love, i know she was with goerge but they got married in like a flash and then the marriage was over. She wasn't in love with mark, and although Cahn was nice, they weren't really magic, but i'm pretty sure she's proved it her love now, the girl almost took a bullet for her! love calzona! their gonna have kids! yay!!
