its actually quite simple to realise that she isnt lip syncing. watch the end of the song when she says thank you. on the screen in the back. there is a second delay between it. She is an amazing singer though. One of the few that sounds just as good live as they do in studio.

No singer on the planet sounds exactly like they sound on CD. Of course, there are differences in HOW MUCH is "fixed".

Some singers sound very close, and some... not even remotely like what you hear on CD. A good singer can match 95% of what you hear on CD, live, and a bad singer... well... its almost like 2 different people sing when you hear them live then on CD.

Lea is a very talented individual.One of a kind in her own profession.Intelligent individual,song writer and great performer. When I saw her sing "On My Own" at the 10th aniversary of the broadway "Les Miserables"I knew she reads music too.A song writer and a performer is one of the few talents you see out there in the music world.She was"Eponine" in that braodway show "Les Miserables"& she was awesome!She's just great and one of a kind.Thx for sharing this video.

Well, it looks abit like lip singing isnt it? Well, just look at her movements and the screen movements. U can find a slight delay, specially before the song in the hand movements. There is a slight delay about 1/2 a second in the screen. Well, even if she did lip sync i wouldnt care. Her voice is too amazing for anyone to criticize:)

While it may seem like lip-synch, the delay is due to a bad upload to You Tube. Sometimes QuickTime video clips do not upload properly on You Tube and therefore causing the sound and video to be out of sync. Trust me, Lea is TOTALLY SINGING LIVE in these clips.

She cant be lip syncing. You can tell because there are little flaws here and there. Things like mic popping, erratic volume fluctuation, slight pronunciation mistakes, mic clipping ect. are ALL edited out in a recorded version.

Its very easy to catch someone lip syncing, but you have to have a very discerning ear and know exactly what to listen to.

She's not lip synching. I think it may seem that way because, as anyone else would, you're watching her as she is on the screen behind her. The sound is reaching you before the actual image. If you compare Lea to herselfon the screen behind her, you'll notice a slight delay in the movements as well. Gotta love her... plus, she's Filipino... chee hee! ;)

Actually... the video is correctly uploaded, not as the uploader says. If you check the movements of Lea and those of the screen, there is a delay of half of a second... is due to these kind of screens in these live shows, have this delay... she is singing live, everything is correct in the video...

I am the poster of this video. Lea is NOT lip syncing, she is singing LIVE. The reason the audio and video are out of sync is because the video did not upload correctly on You Tube, which happens with most Quick Time video clips. Lea is singing the original version of REFLECTION, which was not used in the film, therefore its does sound different and would make people think she is lip-syncing. So I will put this debate to rest now: Lea is singing LIVE!!!

There's no lip syncing when Lea Salonga performs. What you are seeing here is a processing delay. I just saw her perform on November 2nd, 2007 in Tarrytown NY. I can attest that she was flawless, funny, and personable. After a two and a half hour performance, she stayed at least an hour afterwards taking pictures, signing autographs and talking with her fans until the very last one on line. People remember you for what you do, as well as for what you don't. That was nice of her.

This full version is very beautiful. Michelle Kwan was able to get her hands on this full version back in 1998 and skated to it as an exhibition piece. I would definitely recommend checking that performance out as well. Lea Salonga's voice and Michelle Kwan's skating... what a combination! :)
