I heard of Hicks from a tool album and went to check him out. He had the classic quality of Hendrix or someone who you know is dead but is on that weird honest spiritual unique perfect level.
When I heard Stanhope I was AMAZED there was another Hendrix/Hicks who was ALIVE!

Nah dude, I really like Stanhope, I love his material, but I wouldn't say he's equal to Hicks. Hicks was a comedy rock star. Doug IS good, but he's far from Bills quality, maybe one day.

I also don't like most of our fellow (North)Americans. Ha, yeah it should be named Shit-Port. I'm movin' to California in under 5 years to study voice-over work for animation (my dream for some reason). At least it's better then this place.
i wouldn't bank on that. i live in LA(city, not state) and while there are many opportunities you don't see elsewhere...it'll make you as sour as doug about the whole thing. i hear san fran is nice but i haven't personally been there so i can't say. i'm from new orleans and i gotta say: i love the people there. even though there's still many annoyances, the culture in general is great. here...it seems to be very into shade freuden.
