I read his book, he makes some great points in it. We have choice now, businesses are under pressure to beat competition and the best way of doing that is moving to nations like China where labour is cheap. The whole western world economy is based on speculation and now its about to collapse to its true level. Invest in silver and gold ppl to protect your wealth
robert b reichssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssSHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!! DWARF
When you say he is 'blinded by ideology' don't you mean socialism. I this Reich is great, one of the few who speak common sence. One question that I would like to ask the whole of the western world......When is all this going to stop!!!!
Learn about economic theory, and I don't mean people talking about the economy, learn the theorems and mathematics behind it all. It may I tutor economics and mathematics at my college, once you truly understand the way the economy works your questions will be answered.
Wow, there you go, you know economics because you told someone to go read about it. Flexing your facial muscles like the ones you lack in your arm (see your avatar), brilliant.
Brilliant, you're educated and well versed on economics because you told someone to go read some books. So not only are you flexing your biceps (like your avatar pictures shows) but you're flexing your facial muscles. We all know how stupid people look who pose flexing their muscles for the camera, it just screams insecurity, brilliant.
and nothing screams critical thought like pointing out someones picture and not their intellect or ideas. So allow me to retort with real critical thought; Quiz, Why is the derivative is so important for the demand function? Please state your answer in terms of consumer elasticity of demand. Can you even tell me the nuts and bolts of Classical vs Keynes? and for God's sake if you need to google what I just said, quite while you are behind.
By the way, 35% is hardly a majority and belies his "oligarchy" argument. Reich loves unions but that is politics not economics. And PLEASE, there was plenty of innovation and new technology between 1945 and 1975 (ie the discovery of DNA, the microchip, space travel) and on and on.
Robert Reich is smart and I enjoy listening to him but sometimes he is blinded by ideology. Most jobs are created by small companies and this has been true for decades. He uses statistics selectively - like saying 35% of the American workforce was unionized in the 1940s but now only 8% of "private sector" employees are unionized.
yeah I agree with you there when he says healtcare should decouple from jobs I fear for those who can't pay healthcare bills or get healthcare in other ways..
btw I need to know snap-break snap-back for my sociology class and I didn't get all the points down in my notes can anyone help me out? it's on my final?!

He mentions Joe McCarthy and communist witch hunts. But McCarthy was right on all accounts - and KGB files prove it.
Reich is a left-over liberal who talks down to anyone who will listen.

do you think it would be a good idea to get a 'reaction shot' once in awhile so we can see who he's talking to?
