It is a Road Angel, Joss is addicted to hearing Tiff Needell shouting 'Fixed Safety Camera Ahead'....lol....They really use it to keep below the pitlane speed limit, in the 2 driver races.....Like today in the Heritage Grand Touring Car races @ Brands GP, Pole & 2 outright wins with Jules Westwood partnering Joss :'0)
@bridgecrafteng Our times at all the circuits are quicker than some of the slower current touring cars. We hope to eventually get her as fast as the quickest ones with the extra 20BHP we are hoping to get with the 2.8 Motor & another 25KGs of the weight taking her to 416BHP per tonne, (currently 382BHP per Tonne) the current BTCC cars only have about 280BHP per Tonne, but we need all that exrta grunt to make up for their superior handling.
Followed this car for a few laps round Donington a couple of weeks ago in my Subaru on a evening trackday. Must say from behind it looked a right handfull with the back end stepping out big time on the exit to Coppice with only 310bhp, god only knows what its like to drive with that new engine. Great drive and video,ta for posting it.
@bridgecrafteng When we were at Donington that evening it had the old dampers fitted (as the Ohlins were being repaired after the Mallory crash) with one rear completely shot which was sending the car into massive oversteer...it is normally about 6/7 seconds a lap faster round there :'0)
@gazgstar Yes it has had a new worked head with bigger valves (the previous 310BHP Motor had standard valves in) & much higher lift cams. It now produces 329BHP @ 8100 revs (old max power was @ 8500) & 225 torques @ 5000 revs.
Having now raced it all I can say it is awesome, it is so torquey and easier to drive & I am changing gear 500 Revs less @ 7800/7900
I was there!! Great drive Joss, you had the crowd on it's feet rooting for you. Best race I've seen in a long time. In fact since Neil Hodgson did the same last to first run during his British Superbike days - well done and thank you.
Its a Gran Turismo 5 Seasonal Race. He is on Racing soft and the rest are on Comforts!!

Awesome, makes those cossies look very slow! Why the start from the back though? Is there a handicap system in use in this race series?

@paulsmellor Joss had top start at the back of the grid (21st) as he missed qalifying & the 1st race the day before as he was ill.
SuzyRonchetti 6 months ago
@paulsmellor Joss missed qualifying & the 1st race due to a stomach bug, thats why he started from the back

Wow, my lap timer said we were doing 1.18's which means with your correct dampers you'd be doing current touring car times, thats amazing!
