I have legitimatly and successfully done this, only with my main weapon, when crossing a close range corner. When using an M4 / AK47, at close range, you can cover 40% of your body, and you pick it up immediately after, also throwing weapons is a decent way to actually make an awper accidentally fire, basically they just watch that one spot and train to react to any movement. So throwing a gun can fool them into reacting.

@catch22af Not likely, what's the mass of a sniper bullet, vs the mass of a hand gun, it'd be pretty hard to move the gun more then a foot or so backwards, and it wouldn't be fast.

Force = mass x Acceleration Using an AK47 with full metal jacket bullet the calculation looks like this.

.008kg * 751m/s = 6.008 newtons (trivially, the average boxer's punch = 2000~5000 newtons. )

Now the D Eagle weighs at least 1.7kg so:

6.008/1.7 = 3.53m/s = 7.9mph So you might get hit by the gun, yes, but it'd hardly be moving.

Also they've proven this on Mythbusters ;)

@TheMegaZZTer A single headshot can still kill with a helmet, it just lowers damage. An AWP shot to the head does about 400+ with or without a helmet. An M4 however does about 80-90 damage with helmet, 110~ without. AK does over a hundred with or without the helmet, but I can't remember the numbers right now

Basically one hit kill and an asshat's weapon. Don't know how the deagle blocked it though. I always assumed guns to react like soft cover (you can shoot through some wall types). I've gotten 3 heads in one bullet before so it's not like they stop once they hit the target...
