Although what you say is opinion only fravalca, I have to dissagree. You do not sit 3 miles from the stearing wheel in a race car like you do in your Honda Civic driving down main street like a gangster thug. Turn 10 did an outstanding job of modelling the interiors of these cars.
Lol well I don't drive as im 15 but all the other racing games i've playedhave been good with cockpits because there a couple cars in this game where you are just way to close and it ruins the driving feel i guess
Yea man, totally. The Maserati GranTurismo has a really cool in car. Its got the elegent wood on the dash, the blue gauges, and everything. I love all the news rims they put in the game too. The chrome just looks amazing with the real time reflections.
Kicking a multiplayer game into slow motion for a crash just doesn't make for good gameplay. If you want big crashes, get Grid or NFS Shift. Grid will give you at least 2 gigantic, biggest-wrecks-in-the-history-of-racing styled crashes twice a race somewhere.
Forza's crashes are focused on sim-lite, non-race ending failures. Sitting out a 10 minute race while your car is busted on the side of the course isn't much fun, at least you have a chance to get back to the pits and still finish.
I'm sorry if I misunderstood you but...Are you saying it's good that the cars don't take damage? Again, sorry if I'm wrong but I think they CAN have damage. I think it was Dirt 2 or something that did that. Visual Damage and Realistic damage or something like that. Realistic damage makes games more pleasurable.
Well I want the damage in there, but this just wasn't enough to what I expected.
After watching GT5's new damage vid, with the hood flipping over and the doors flying off with major bumper damage. This so called car flip just doesn't total the car enough ya know?
Like it doesn't have to kill the car, just gives you disadvantages, like punctured wheels to reduce stability etctec
I wanted to see more of a bang, enough to say...'I crapped on my car o.o'
Hey dude, I'm just implying what Turn 10 said about 'realiztic' damage and all the other Xbot fans were raving about.
I would rather stay back on the race if my car was totalled, or even if it went into a 10 second repair mode. Cause either way, if your pro, you wouldnt flip your car in the first place!
If your cars totalled, go out and play a another race! Your fault for crashing anyways.
I play a mmo racing game which has a 6-8 second repair after colliding a number of times.
The only reason for a demo is to show the specs of the game so they can find bugs and others to fix, so I don't think they would limit the damage. This is basicly a rip from the actuall full game.
I'm guessing this is at close to 95% to the full damage.
Cause the difference between F2 and F3 is that F2 damage wasn't entirely based on real physics, rather mostly on computer calculated models. With that you can model the damage to any degree you want.
With F3, based on real physics actually getting the cars in proper full damage of cars comes down to rights with the manufacturers, with that limits the amount of damage on cars.
I just think T10 said to much BS about the damage so far...
The manufacturers need to man up...its not like people are going to stop buying the manufacturers cars just cause someone crashed it on a video game! But considering that the damage is actually half decent
The cockpit view sucks balls. You're sitting to close to the wheel and you don't have the option to adjust your seat position, the steering wheel BARELY moves at all even when your turning all the way, and the driver never shifts gears. I mean come on, What?! Are all of the cars in Forza 3 automatic?! I think not. That's some fake bullshit!
the cockpit is terrible, you're sitting too close and the textures are completely flat with not even a hint of detail. Turn 10 need to stop hyping up the graphics, hype up the features you do have, like in depth visual mods.
Very nice, Veritas. Thank you for sharing! It's pretty neat when someone is willing to share what they've experienced. You're quite talented at driving on this game, keep up the great work! <3

I Have to admit that im little bit dissappointed with the cockpit view compared to Need For Speed Shift.

@Setaz1 compare it to TDU2 that sucks.........i know it is not in the same league as FM3 or GT5 but still it sucks

omg why are you soo close to the wheel thats the only downfall to this game

Man, the graphics are way better than Forza 2. Big improvement!

indeed, they make you feel like inside of your favourite car: even the leather textures are pixel perfect

This is the so called realistic COCK-pit view and damage? -,-;;
AS far as I'm concerned it looks like a 50 year old granny driving to close to the steering wheel... wait scratch that, an 80 year old -,-;;
The crash physics are horrible! I was looking forward to the massive damage that Turn 10 said that was coming out in E3.
I was expecting more of a slow motion massive collision with glass flying and stuff like that... but no.. just few scratches and bumps...

The Damage was on limited, when the real game comes out the damage will total the car (in other words crawling at 6 mph to the pits)
T041993 2 years ago
unfortunately no ;( I've searched it, and Dan Greenawalt said that the manufacturs didnt like them to do so. I wish it was true :(

We'll see when the game comes out, if that is indeed the full damage its well below average and Forza 2 damage is better (not including the flips)

Blame the car-makers. They forbid their machines to be shown in a state of extreme damage.
