For the people who had concerns about "Freedom Fighter" not being in 1080P. The reason for that is we wanted people to have the ability to watch our film on their mobile devices. This was a marketing decision made by the producers to have the movie available to everyone and as a result we have had over 1,000 view just from mobile devices!!!

Well shot -- Good use of a DSLR for narrative. I don't mind a little focus drifting. But I didn't care too much for the story. It's been told a million times.

@MervCarSalesman Thanks Merv. was a fun project to shoot for a film festival, it needed to be less than 3 minutes and the dialogue was given to us so we tried to make it entertaining but use familiar story lines instead of taking up some time to set-up an original story.

Nicely shot. No need to show someone getting their head blown off, or the explosion for that matter. What if you were looking at the cop a the end, and saw his reaction to hearing the blast?

Also, did you try a version where the cop said "it's a unicorn" sarcastically? As in, 'what do you think it is, it's a bomb, you idiot!" ...then the other cop could be defensive - "well, I've never seen one up close".

This film was for a competition, visual affects was what they wanted, that's why we have an explosion and some blood...

we shot this film in 1 day, so we didn't have much time to try different versions, but I like the idea of a sarcastic way... maybe next time,

Wow. I have to say this is a pretty spectacular effort and absolutely engaging enough to warrant a feature. From plot and cinematic quality (phenomenal film- & sound-editing, I thought!), to an excellent cast of some I recognize (Oliver Finn never breathes an untrue moment on film) and others who really brought their own ammo, to Piran's mindful direction, I'd bet it's going to earn itself an official selection into top Festivals this coming year. REALLY good work! Congrats to all involved.

Jules Chang: Super Terrorist! Nice work, my friend. Very convincing. Interesting idea for a short film, too. Sort of a modern day "Twilight Zone". It would have been nice if the narrative had been framed with some kind of literary device to let us know what genre we're in. Good stuff, though!

Within a short amont of time I was pulled into the film. The emotions and feelings were so strong that my heart actually skipped a beat. It brought back the terror from 9/11...standing ovation to the film if that was the intention.

This short is amazing! It's feature film quality, and even the acting it superb. I am really intrigued by the concept of this contest, and I especially think this idea is brilliant and portrays terrorism in a way I never thought of it before. As with all great films, a lesson can be learned: We NEED to do a better job of fighting for our freedom!!! GREAT WORK EVERYONE INVOLVED!!!

Thrilling! In particular the authenticity of the chase opener in downtown aided by the combined effort of the LAPD, numerous civilians and pigeons (excellent extras casting:), instantly drags you into this short. Beautiful indeed.
