  • Here's a link: /watch?v=vDWTmNu9cuQ&feature=g-all-u&context=G2ac02d5FAAAAAAAAAAA

Please, don't take down 17Tumba's video. Ask SoundNet to give you credit.

  • ... His work's getting lots of positive feedback, and so I know that you may be interested in telling people that his song was based off of yours, because it truly seems like blatant disregard...

  • This song by SoundNet, sounds extremely similar to your song Ed Sheeran-The A-Team (KOAN Sound remix.) I'm just letting you know, in case you want him to change the name of the song, or anything similar.

Many people have commented on the correlation, on Soundcloud, and YouTube, and he has you listed on his Facebook page as the only artist he likes. So, I believe very strongly, that he has intentionally copied your work without giving you credit.

  • saying you've been listening to dubstep for a while and the first thing you heard was Skrillex is like saying you've been enjoying Earth for a while but you came out of your mothers womb 3 hours ago

  • KOAN [Pronounced Ko - Anne]: A puzzling, often paradoxical statement or story, used in Zen Buddhism as an aid to meditation and a means of gaining spiritual awakening. For example, two hands clap together to make a sound, what is the sound of a...ONE HAND CLAP.

  • @MerryHL skrillex isnt shit, he is ok but waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overrated! in my eyes skrillex doesnt make dubstep, its all brostep and electro...

  • Lol, KOAN Sound isn't even dubstep so why compare with Skrillex if they're two different genres?

  • @YiazmatHD Koan sound is more original dubstep sounding with most there tracks, what would you call trouble in the west?

  • @IcarusDubstep its not , just sounds like it for an untrained ear

  • @IcarusDubstep Nah the two kicks are spaced as triplets, they probably just did it to make the track more interesting to listen to.

  • A list of comments where people are agreeing with eachother...refreshing :)

  • @Irenicable And now we play the waiting game...

  • Skrillex updated his status and thinks that you're the future. Well done, my friend, well done.

  • @mcyale2 skrillex SUCKS

  • @ciacch Are You Trippin , Bro Hes Better Than Probs Most Shit U Listen To .

  • @Anologs ahah!

  • @ciacch You Know Im Fight Now STFU

  • @Anologs ahahahahah you're 13! hahahaha

  • @Anologs skrillex really isn't that good. he cant hold up to flux pavilion/gemini or any like that.hes only famous because he dabbled in techno before dubstep. he will unfortunately be the reason why dubstep will go mainstream and turn out awful, just like rap did. and like hip hop will.

  • @DaanGFX It already went mainsteam, and it wasnt because skrillex.

  • @LittleGurner its on NO American radios, so its not complete mainstream, its totally Skrillex's fault. freshman girls at my school have two obsessions, Justin Bieber and Skrillex. hes destroying it. and to make it worse he isn't even that good. he has so much hype for no reason. if it was someone incredible i would not care.

  • @DaanGFX lol skrillex' is ok, not the best, u must liek it, but if skrillex is mainstream doesnt make koan sound mainstream now does it..

however dubstep is now officially being used in commercials.. = mainstream XD

  • @DaanGFX He does have some fucking sick production skills though. :D

  • @DaanGFX No need to go all Hipster, just because something is mainstream doesn't mean it's automatically bad.

  • @Gkidmusic not at first, but then it can turn bad. look at rap, in the 90s it was awesome, biggie was amazing, all of death row, NWA, then when it became popular the new rap fans didn't respect where it was, and those fans who turned into artists changed the way it was, now Lil Wayne and all of these other little shitheads are destroying rap with there stupid shit acting hard. metal did the same thing, luckily alternative remains untainted and I"m afraid skrillex is dub-steps Justin Bieber.

  • @DaanGFX You make a good point, but one thing we have to remember is time's change and with every new era is something different. We could hold on to the past and hope for the old school to come back but that's not gonna happen. Because although Wayne may not have the great flow of Biggie he does have some monster punchlines. We have to appreciate that every new era brings something different to the table even if it isn't as good. Skrillex does his thing. Dubstep's Justin Beiber, I think not.

  • @Gkidmusic from my standpoint your right about the change, but when change causes 13 year old girls to depict the outcome of how artists are it pisses me off.

  • @DaanGFX Good point, I second that.

  • @DaanGFX you hit it right on the head

  • @DaanGFX Dubstep's mainstream mainly because of UKF and Doctor P / Flux. Skrillex isn't as mainstream as circus records, although it is debatable.

  • @J17Drums ukf is mainstream in the community, not everywhere. for example. my little brother and his annoying ass freshman friends (at that moment there were about 5 annoying freshman girls) were in my car, i put on haunt you-flux pavilion and they all screamed OMG IS THIS SKRILLEX I LOVE HIM! so i said the obvious, no. and i told them it was flux, none of them know anything about dubstep except skrillex. and its like that throughout my whole city. skrillex is the one. no one else. he needs togo

  • @DaanGFX thats how it is here in Vegas too

  • @mykeylmbaao alright, chicago and vegas. and my friend who visited from new jersey said the same thing there. looks like skrillex is the problem.

  • @DaanGFX yeah, stuff like that happens to me alot too, whenever i ask someone if they know any good dub all i ever get is skrillex

  • @DaanGFX So basically, you don't like him because he'll potentially make dubstep mainstream? Too late.

And btw, I kinda hate people like you. I NO LIEK MOOSICK CUZ ITS TOO MAINSTREAM HUUUUUR. Yes, I be hatin'.

  • @Df4eva not the fact its mainstream, just the shit it comes with. the only people i know who like skrillex are freshman's, 90% are little dipshit girls. in turn skrillex and other people like him get popular. witch is a problem, because he is overrated, not that great. and i wouldn't even call him dubstep. the problem is that then other producers will look at him and say "well he got famous with that style" then everyone starts doing it because they think that thats what the people want.

  • so i guess i could say i hate people like YOU, people who dont know shit. skrillex fans are exactly like justin bieber fans, no doubt.

  • @Df4eva See Daan's reply. People don't hate on mainstream music because they're too indie, people hate on mainstream music because its a fact that most mainstream music is pretty damn awful. Some mainstream is pretty good though. A fair amount of mainstream dubstep is good, most mainstream drum and bass is pretty decent. But it can't last, look at modern day rappers compared to earlier rappers like Slick Rick and Biggie. Then look at Skrillex's "Call 911" compared to Benga & Coki's "Night"

  • @DaanGFX he can easily hold up to those two. listen to pretty much any flux track and then any skrillex track, and skrillex just has a richer, more melodic sound, and then his brutal bits are just more interesting. and bass cannon gets boring much quicker than scary monsters...

but i do think that koan sound are much more imaginative & experimental, even if skrillex is a smidge more fun to listen to

  • @digitalbroadcastmk7 not at all. skrillex makes his music in FL studio. have of his beats are on presets. his "aggressive" style is a bunch of random noises.

  • @DaanGFX if you say that, you could argue that dubstep is just a bunch of random noises. BTW, he uses ableton live and his synths are not presets, you'd have to be insane to tell me the scary monsters bass was a preset. His synthesis skills are amazing. His composition and arrangment however, is up for debate.

  • @DaanGFX you don't even know what you're talking about. skrillex is really really good, probably the best at what he does and you people just get sick of hearing about it. i've been listening to dubstep for a while, and skrillex was the first thing i heard. and i still listen to him all the fucking time because he's the shit. quit being a bitch about it

  • @crippledqueer im guessing your what, 14? skrillex has bin around dubstep only for a little. witch means you have barely listened. your a little fucking retard,

  • @DaanGFX dude quit acting like you know shit when you have no idea. skrillex has been around dubstep almost 5 years and thats pretty much about the birth of dubstep. why are you talking about age when dubstep isn't even a decade old dumbass? my little 11 year old brother knows more about dubstep than you and could probably kick your ass. where the fuck have you been?

  • Comment removed

  • @crippledqueer you just made yourself look like a dumbfuck. skrillex has bin in MUSIC for 5 years. not dubstep. and dubstep started in the late 90's either you cant count or your making things up. skrillex has bin in dubstep the past like 3. the birth was closer to 14 years ago. like i said earlier, around the time you were born.

  • @DaanGFX ok dumbass you send me a link to any dubstep thats more than 6 years old and i'll suck your dick. and if you can actually find some dubstep from the late 90's i'll be your bitch for life. you seriously have no idea what you're talking about. and quit acting tough because you're 15 i'm older and could destroy your life. but i'm serious about showing me some 10 year old dubstep. you're a retard

  • @crippledqueer hate to break it to you, but im 18. smartass. did you pull 15 out of your ass? and prepared to be my bitch? Dubstep (/ˈdʌbstɛp/) is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in south London, England. The earliest dubstep releases date back to 1998 and were darker, more experimental, instrumental dub remixes of 2-step garage tracks attempting to incorporate the funky elements of breakbeat, or the dark elements of drum and bass. go search it up to get the full definition.

  • @DaanGFX lol why are you the one who's talking about pulling numbers out of my ass when you're the one who brought up age. and fact that you're 18 and don't have a clue what you're talking about makes it even more sad. and save me the wikipidia bullshit answer because you don't even know what the fuck you're talking about

  • @crippledqueer wasn't from Wikipedia. looks like someone is mad because they were wrong.=) your whats wrong with the youth today.your my bitch for life now. so do me a favor and do what you were put on this earth to do and make me a sandwich.

  • @DaanGFX dude don't even try you're not fooling anyone and admit you don't even even basic knowledge of what we're talking about

  • @crippledqueer how can you say i dont have basic knowledge when you probably started listening to dubstep a month ago. stop being a little bitch and get off skrillex's dick.

  • @DaanGFX lol believe that if you want, all that means is someone who has only been listening to dubstep for a month knows alot more than you. skrillex kicks ass & u know it

  • @crippledqueer yet i already proved you wrong and you neglect to notice. so i guess im done talking to a kid who worships skrillex like justin bieber.

  • @DaanGFX no... crippledqueer has a point.

Theres nothing wrong with him taking dubstep mainstream, its not his fault if people like it. And he isn't making bad music in any way, shape or form. He knows what he's doing, and he's extremely well respected by other big dubstep producers, and he also respects many of them back.

He's an amazing artist and i think its stupid if you can't admit to how good he really is, you dont have to like him. But dont say hes not good, because he really is.

  • @Magnifikate but do you really want little kids dictating how dubstep is? artists listen to the fans, if all the fans are 15 year old girls the music will turn to shit. because they respond to the shittier songs. how do you think so much music that's mainstream is bad now? rap has gone to shit, hip hop is on its way, the new rock music is crap most the time, and dont get me started on pop. I'm not some hipster, I'm just not an idiot.

  • @DaanGFX Does it matter when kids dictate dubstep? Older people with a brain like you and me ain't gonna listen to them. So who cares? And your a fan of dubstep yes? and so am I, and millions of other mature soughts of people, so the fan base obviously isn't full of 15 year old girls, anyway they all listen to bieber and derulo.

Rap hasn't turned to shit, you just gotta listened to the ones that are still good :) And theres sooo many of them :D

  • @DaanGFX You think basically every music genre is shit don't you?

  • @DaanGFX what ever you want to tell yourself i guess. still waiting on that decade old dubstep lol pce

  • @crippledqueer search up on Google, you'll find shit with ease. but im not going to send you a link for something your too lazy to look up yourself

  • @DaanGFX haha i knew you wouldn't be able to find any

  • @crippledqueer Seriously man? You bring your own 11 year old brother into an online flame war? You are an extremely stupid and ignorant kid. And really? He can kick his ass too? Really? I don't know how "kicking his ass" with your "11 year old brother" will make your argument any better. In fact, it made it much weaker. You are making yourself look like an ass on the internet. What a shame. Your brother should kick you for making yourself look like an ass.

  • @Slah606 lol what the fuck are you talking about dude? you're on the internet, and you found the fact that i said my brother was 11 so offensive? lol ok just ignore the racism and the sexism and the anti-gay bullshit because this fucker mentioned his brother. your a retard. instead of reading month old comments on youtube looking for a fight go fuck with your own brother lol

  • @crippledqueer lol, I don't have a brother!

  • @Slah606 lol and?

  • @crippledqueer little late for that "lol and?" isn't it? I didn't say I was offended by you saying your brother can beat him up. I was just pointing out it really doesn't make your argument and stronger in any aspect.

  • @Slah606 oh no i get what your saying he just kept on bringing up how old he was and i was like seriously? you have no idea how old i am or who i am and your gonna try to pick fights with people on the internet. i don't have a brother either, i just wanted to point out only a skinny worm picks fights with kids on the internet

  • @DaanGFX skrillex is great. koan sound is great..now shut the fuck up all of you

  • @ALYXDyLan last time i checked though you were not a part of this.

  • @DaanGFX last time I checked this was a koan sound ep mix

  • @ALYXDyLan congrats, you can read a video title. hold on while i bake you some cookies.

  • @DaanGFX happy thanksgiving

  • @DaanGFX COOKIES!?:D

  • @DaanGFX your the fucking retard for thinking skrillex is dubstep you bumbacleff

  • @SKATEnDATE1 although your talking like an idiot, ill probably agree with you

  • @DaanGFX I've been around electronic music all my life. Grew up on Depeche Mode, Aphex Twin, The Prodigy, Daft Punk, Halcyon441(We now know him as Deadmau5), and it wasn't until 8 or so years ago that I was introduced to dubstep by a friend who's dad was trying to make it. I'm 15 and I seriously get pissed off at hipsters that think they know everything about this kind of music. KOAN is breaking new ground in my opinion. Kill Everybody remix is by far my favorite. :D

  • @funkystudioslive for one, i never said anything about KOAN sound. 2 im not a hipster. 3, your comtradicting yourself by leaving that whole paragraph but saying you hate hipsters who think they know everything. I DOUBT you started listening to

Dubstep when you were seven. Nice try though.

  • @DaanGFX im only 14 and ive been listening to dubstep for nearly all my life :L and i think dubtep has been over done now because of skrillex.I HATE HIM.

  • @chinaser121 Skrillex doesn't make dubstep. It's mainly electronic linking into other genre's. Don't blast your mouth around without knowing what the facts are.

  • @telektronik i wasnt "blasting my mouth" i was just stating that i dont like him and that his overdone an underground genre of music.

  • @chinaser121 Don't think of Skrillex as dubstep and you won't hate him.

Regardless he's a talented guy, I'm so fucking sick of you wannabe hipster faggots ragging on him for being overrated, grow a sac and learn to like popular shit.

  • @DaanGFX or he's famous becaues his productions are actually well executed? You can hardly say that skrillex has purposfully geared his music toward the mainstream. He just happened to attract a lot of fans. His music is actually very nicely polished and of a very high quality. Not saying he's perfect or the best, he's just a good producer.

  • @DaanGFX you are a noble troll.

  • Big sound! KOAN Sound do it again!!!! :) Big UP!!!

  • this is just the BOSS of all Dub

  • omg i must learn to make that synth that sounds like a wet diarreah

  • Comment removed

  • too much....on a higher level than anythin else any other producers in the 'dutty' dubstep scene have to offer

  • @Jawsight Only 2 of the tracks on the EP are actually dubstep, though...

  • 2:18 aaaaahhh YEEAAHH! LOVE IT!

  • i need to find more producers with this 100bpm sound, i fucking love this shit.

anyone know any other music with this type of sound?

  • @jackmoloney93 I think liquid stranger has a new EP with 100 bpm but it doesent have these wobbles, but it has dark sub bassy stuff, real oldschool, kind of basnectar feel to it

  • @whataminow bassnectar ent really old school lol

  • @Jawsight bassnectar is pretty old school. hes been makin tunes since 2002

  • @vanya1212 BASS NECTAR is the man!!!! :)

  • @jackmoloney93 Check out some glitch hop shit

  • Is the 'koan sound' dnb ? or .. :D

  • @HighTunez moar like dubstep ...

  • this ep is just bananas

  • I love this old fashioned dubstep style. Very nice. Reminds me a bit of rusko with the wobbles that drop with the beat. Question. Were all of the wobbles made with Massive?

  • trippy as fuck, sooooo good!

  • stop trying to make favorites...everything is just sick!

  • hmmmm trouble in the west or mr brown? thats a tough one

  • Mr Brown, Fucking peng.

  • causeahriot sent me

  • two people are offended cause they have one hand.

  • i've never heard of koan sound. i was high browsing reddit, clicked on some random link, listened to the chill build up, and felt the drop inside of my bones. feeling like an undead robot cowboy, i popped up itunes and downloaded the first album ive ever legally bought since the scary monsters and nice sprites EP in 2010. keep up the god work koan. dub love.

  • @ZeroGravityTerrific Don't associate Koan sound with that skrillex bullshit, they've been going strong since for years, your fault you just jumped on the bandwagon.

  • @Jim44ee He was giving them props, not hating, so I see no reason for you to do so either.

  • Bought it from iTunes, surprised at how cheap it was, worth way more than £4.00

Ah well, I can tell when I get a bargin :D

  • Gotta give insane respect to Koan Sound. Just as I thought dubstep was beginning to sound all a bit same-y, Koan come through and push the boundaries even further. Absolute geniuses.

  • Can you buy the EP from anywhere other than iTunes?

  • Must....have...this....need....itunes...card!

  • one hand clap is my personal favourite

  • Max Out is so bouncy. I've loved it ever since the preview on soundcloud MONTHS ago. Been following you guys for years, keep it up :)

  • 1. Trouble In The West

    2. Mr. Brown

    3. Max Out
