  • Look at the video response version. It's actually better than this one.

  • I put up a tab of this beautiful song on ultimate guitar.com

    Enjoy playing!

  • this kind of has the flavor of another song of his....miss o'dell

  • Does anybody know if there's anything on YouTube of his Dark Horse Tour 1974? Or any footage at all? I saw a clip of him doing "What is Life" from the new documentary, and it was great

  • One of my all time favorite songs by the late George Harrison...again it's a shame the song seems to be rather obscure...at least it's not on this particular forum.

Thanks for making the song available to everyone !

  • Thanks so much! I had this as a bootleg years ago but the PC it was on broke :(

  • are these comments ever ridiculous did any of ever talk to the dude what do you know about him?did you get this information from that crap rolling stone magazine thats it bow down to the super rich asswipes

  • fuck yeah jews harp

  • I think George lost Pattie through his seemingly pent up attitude at the time of the Beatles break up.

His music I love and he was a genius.

  • fantástico... hasta la victoria siempre George...!!!

  • he didnt lose patty he told clapton he could have her

  • have this as a b-side for Ding Dong

needless to say this is "my" a-side

  • the country side of our lovely Dark Horse!

  • George his songs are always the greatest

  • My heart is warmed by the fact that their are 40,238 people who like the same music as me. Makes me feel not so alone

  • Am with ya there :) xxxx

  • Love that raw voice he had doing this song!

  • @lmgavin George didn't love having that raw voice. He had a terribly sore throat at the time of trying to record the Dark Horse album -- dark hoarse. And he had a rough time touring, may have cancelled part of his tour at the time because of his throat problems. Precursor to what finally did him in... it started off with throat cancer in the 90's.

  • @Balertwine Oh, I know. I was at that concert in Philly. He was wonderful!

  • @Balertwine So sad.... :(

  • George didn't pay much mind to clearing his throat and such because this was never intended to be recorded. He was playing material for Phil Spector, and a mic was set up on the spot, never intended for release. That said, that sound, throat problems or not, is what makes these songs so raw and beautiful.

  • George had throat problems when he recorded this album. He also had throat problems during that tour back in 1974.

  • Anyone know the chords?

  • I really don't.

    Peace.

    Rock

  • Haven't heard this for years, thanks very much!

  • He sounds like he's dyin.

  • Música inteligente, como sempre, do ex-Beatle. Nota 1000

  • I love George Harrison, but let's face it. He really wasn't that great of a singer.

I wonder what his best recorded singing performance was. I suppose "Something".

  • @yowzephyr Ok.

  • @yowzephyr You're just tryin' to stirr up shit aren'cha? heh heh heh

  • Some of Harrison's most biting, emotionally raw songs, like this and "Deep Blue", were relegated to b-sides. Curious.

  • This is the B-side to "Dark Horse" released in the U.S., of which I have the 45 vinyl. I remember listening to both sides over and over again and was enthralled with George's raw, raspy version of his voice. Thanks for sharing this song and photos!

  • jaws harp!

  • This B-Side sounds better than the A-side!

  • anyone have the chords to this? or a tab...

  • @DarthGiorgio did u find any tabs 4 this because i hanvt

  • @fro164 No I tried asking some Beatles fans on youtube that do tutorials to tab it and they said they would but never did it...sucks...just one of those things....i'm sure it's easy it's just figuring out what Fing chords he's playing

  • @fro164 Try This...

    Capo on the 6th fret

    C E Am or a C7 Am/G

    I don't care anymore

    F D7/F#

    I'll kick down anybody's door

  • @fro164 Try This

    Capo at the 6th Fret

    C E Am or C7 Am/G

    I don't care anymore

    F D7/F#

    I'll kick down anybody's door

sounds pretty good to me minus the intro and noodling

  • @fro164

Capo on 6th Fret is a must :

    C E Am C7

    I don't care anymore

    F D7 G

and I'll kick down anybodies door

Thats all I got...but if u mess around in that area of chords I think someone will crack it

    C E Am (hit G then F after Am)

Hold you in my arms once more ^

  • @DarthGiorgio hah thank you, i should of fuigure that he uses a capo, like everything else...but ima try it outt

  • @DarthGiorgio ok so i think that G is a G then desends to G6, or just a G6 the whole time

  • @fro164 my comments weren't posting as I was trying things out so I kept typing them over and over and each time I got further or changed something and hoped the others wouldn't post but I guess shit luck, eh...

I'll have to try out the G6, I might play it that way already bc the G I play sounds just like it with the capo on. I wanted to learn the song because of the noodling in it...check out Run Of The Mill off Beware of ABKCO...I wish there was a tab for that whole album..

  • @DarthGiorgio i left u a vid on your page.....and its some what decent version of the mill off beware

  • Is this song any of his albums? is it a original?

  • fanfuckintastic:) TY

  • i really wish i could buy this song or something, its so good :/

  • In 1974 George was really losing his voice,. tt was maybe partially because of smoking. But also, he was rehearsing for his upcoming tour. And he paid the price - he was hoarse throughout his '74tour (I was t here),. On the whole Dark Horse album his voice is shot. A shame -I really love George and am a huge. fan.

  • @gellexi He was sick. His hoarse voice wasn't because of his smoking. George was sick and Apple rushed the release of Dark Horse and a tour... which is one of the reasons why GH left Apple.

  • Thank you

  • elle est très bonne une de mes préféres de George sa voix n'est pas comme d'habitude, il se défoule, il envoie bouler...

  • Ouais!

  • Not my cup of tea but he was an unbelievable artist in hs own right. Very sadly missed

  • This is awesome. Thank you 5* and a million more.

  • what a treat!

its so sad that he is gone. much too soon. rip george

  • "I Don't Care Anymore" was the flip of "Ding Dong, Ding Dong" in the UK. It (The A-Side) was touted as the "official Christmas Single" for George.

New to me, I never had a chance to get the 45 in any form back in the day...so this is a refreshing "treat" for me, eh?

    Thanx fer it, m8..

  • Great tune! What a shame they didn't put it on the CD re-release...

  • @ehrensenffan There's always iTunes.

  • he was starting to look older then his years around this time...smoking?

  • 0:08 He sounded a little like Vizotsky for a few seconds. Had he really smoked too much?

  • George said this was done in one take

  • Sounds like it. Ed

  • Just for the record, in the United States, this was the B-side of "Dark Horse" and in the UK it was the B-side of "Ding Dong Ding Dong."

  • I think it's in the tradition of his songs like "It's all too much"

and "I want to tell you"

take a common phrase and milk it..

with yer mates, some guitars... in a studio

  • sounds like he trying to do early Dylan with the folk-bluegrass-rock

  • "We've got a B Side to make." LOL

  • Yeah, George had a way with words.

  • I have this on 45. B side of Ding Dong Ding Dong.

    Great song

  • i have the 45 always liked the song

  • I bought this single when it came out, years ago. I remember many disc jockeys just ripping this apart and laughing at it, both sides A and B..........actually a great GEORGE song that is in a similar style is MISS ODELL, the flip side of BANGLA DESH

  • I hadn't heard this one.Thanks!

  • I read in Rolling Stone about this many years ago and GH said he had lost his voice but sung anyway. It was the "B" side to the song Dark Horse which I still have---I hope.

I liked both of these songs.

  • I adored his raw voice at this period....like for the concert "Get down, you slug....)

He makes me cry at any time, because we miss him so much !!!

  • This was from a time when George's feelings were very raw after losing Patti to Eric.

He was near to a break-down.

Then, along came Olivia (originally just a secretary), and look what she has done ...

Do I need to say more ....

  • 123ThisIsMe,

    Thank you.

  • @123ThisIsMe Interesting.

    Peace.

    Rock

  • @123ThisIsMe but daughter of record executive

  • @123ThisIsMe I don't think he LOST Patty to Clapton as much as he GAVE her to Clapton. Long after Clapton eventually tired of her himself and ditched her, Clapton and George remained close buddies to the end...

  • Realy? It sounds more like a raw demo. For example: it have no real end or chorus... But most probably you are right, thanks for information!

  • Actually, he had lost his voice from too much rehearsal for his 1974 tour....and this song is one he made up for a b-side release as he needed a b-side and did not have a cooked up song yet. So he made this up, practically overnight. Now you know the rest of the story. Good luck to you.

  • @DeaconJohnPV In the Netherlands this was the b-side to Ding Dong... I find this a lot stronger than Ding Dong

  • This was the B-side of the "Dark Horse" single.
