  • we are building our own 3v 19' diameter dome greenhouse and are wondering about the water tank as in where to get ideas to build or buy and how much of the north side to cover with insulation and reflectix. Any ideas?

  • How do you grow your water lily in the tank? I'd love to be able to do that in my dome's tank.

  • @klesoine52 Water lilies are not a floating plant. They have to be grown in a pot with a layer of gravel on top of the soil to keep the soil from floating away. Water lilies prefer to be no deeper than 2ft and the water tank is 4ft., so they must be suspended somehow or put onto a column of concrete blocks . Be careful not to damage the liner when placing the concrete blocks on the bottom of the tank. There is some work involved in having water lilies, but they're worth going to all this trouble

  • What a beautiful system!! Snails, Fish, Plants... it's like it's own little eco-system! That guy must be a genius!!

  • Thankyou

It has given me so much enjoyment for many years and it is very amazing how self sustaining it is.

The other wonderful asset in terms of function is that it stabilizes the temperature to such a degree that we can grow all year round in the rocky mountains without a heater!
