I play this game and it's AWESOME, NO OTHER MMO Even the 100% Pay to Play ones have captured the first person action possible for such a franchise! The only problem is the ignore system is cumbersom and there are alot of gold spammers.

Game is fun but a bit too hardcore for the world's F2P games and Rift/WoW MMO generation. Fairly detailed 'upgrade' system and loot driven gameplay. Think Diablo in a 3rd person post apocalyptic world. The MMO side isn't as diverse but if the game takes off I am sure this will be worked on.

yes it was, shame it only lasted for a little while. Company did some screwups and it was removed rather fast. Shame because it had potential, graphic wise it was really good to for its age. I saw some info about it getting re-released but not gonna try it, looks like the graphics got worse, looks like a grindy rpg now

@leaf16nut First, it was... then it was singleplayer only.. but tomorrow it eventually will have its restart (because it still is a huge success in Korea and Japan) and it is planned that the open beta already starts on monday (weekend is closed beta only)

@NonameRand0m I really, really loved the game. But now the online servers are dows and I never played it in singleplayer mode... so it is hard do say, sorry.

But if you're looking for a good rpg game for cheap.. where you can collect a lot of items and weapons.. probably yes, it is worth it.

OH yes, I had a Marksman, which is the equivalent of an Amazon.

@GroBBElL117 If you buy "Hellgate: London" in stores it will have singleplayer only. But very soon there will be a game called "Hellgate: Global" with much more content than the singleplayer game. Best thing is: Hellgate Global will be for free. :)

And to describe the game... I'd say it is a mix of World of Warcraft and Diablo.

Character creation, 6 different classes, many items and loads of equipment to find, loads of quests, great cutscenes, etc, etc

@gofer123guy Wrong. What killed the game was EA pushing it out too early. The game didn't stay in beta long enough. Publicity wouldn't have made the game any better.

This time around a portion of the devs from HGL are working on Torchlight and Torchlight 2 for Runic Games. EA came knocking, and they turned them down.

Which by default will make the game itself way better. As long as they have funding to stay afloat.
