The funny thing is that these people are in the public eye, if what they create is preserved they are immortalized forever. Even small-time celebs like Brendon make more money than most ever will, yet guys like you still feel the need to defend them as if you had some man crush on them.
@xaer04 watch some Home Movies if your not familiar with his other areas. His comedic range is wider than his assholyness. I felt similarly with Maynard James Keenan but i love tool. I got over it when he "left" a perfect circle.
@xaer04 dude, he could spend hours tabbing it, and playing at 1 mile an hour. You can see how much more time is put into metalocalpyse over other shows, theres so much detail in it. He spends a TON of time on it. Another thing, he didn't invent "Betcha can't play this" it's a series. Look at other interviews, hes a really cool dude.
@Livetoheadbang Ok, he wasnt a d bag in other videos but in this its undeniable. I understand stress and not having time, and I even believe in figuring things out on your own to better develop musical ability, but he doesnt have to be a dick about it. I guess its a matter of taste too. Compared to other metal musicians (who also happen to be much nicer - Ive met a few) Brendon isnt much of a songwriter yet he seems full of himself. Doesn't seem right, so I don't feel bad about criticizing him.
Just to clarify, excluding M. Shadows, A7x is a very talented (instrumentally and musically) band with enormous potential, but M. Shadows makes sure that he's the focal point, and if you can't sing, you shouldn't be in a band with a bunch of studs. And I'm sure you people have seen them live; I have always hated A7x while my best friend has always loved them. Like an idiot, I agreed to go to their concert but it was all good because AILD was playing, too. M. Shadows overcasted everyone else..
They're really not that good though. The Rev was okay, probably the best member. Both guitarists are rather bad: their early stuff was okay but ever since their third album they've been unable to eve play their old shit.
A7x has POTENTIAL to be a decent band, but as long as M. "Faggot" Shadows is in that band poisoning it with his nasal-congested "singing," and as long as they remain so flashy and poppy, they're gonna keep sucking ass.
A7X is an aweosme band(my fav) and theyre guitar playing is awesome. Syn knows how to play fucking awesome, and so does Brendon. Dethklok is also a fucking aweome band, i love their sucks but you gotta realize, they are totally different, so there shouldnt be any comparison between who is better or whatever, they are wayyyyy different!
Show this to an A7x fan and watch 'em begin to worship Brendon instead of Synyster Gates :D lol (For the record, I like A7x but Dethklok is 10 times better)
@DedMunkEReborn I'm a huge A7X and Dethklok fan, and I also have been playing guitar for years (as well as drums, singing, and a few others). Synyster Gates is far more technical than the things Brendon Small plays. There's a big difference between playing fast, and playing technical. Syn has both. Brendon has half of it. It's like Dragon Force. Herman sucks. He's fast but He's too random. Nothing works.
@thesmallspure ive been playing guitar for a few years too. both of them have different playing styles. both of them are in 2 different subgenres. Dethklok isn't popish as they are. Sadly they've become pop. I perfer their old stuff. And I see more technical melodies in Dethklok's music than Syn's work. The solos and riffs on their albums are practically the same shit over and over. City of Evil (their worst album) for example.

@TheJapanboy1 Lmao, nah I'm not lazy at all I just hate assholes. A lot of celebrities get this way - either they can't handle the pressure of stardom or their ego gets inflated, or both, and they lash out. The funny thing is that these people are in the public eye, if what they create is preserved they are immortalized forever. Even small-time celebs like Brendon make more money than most ever will, yet guys like you still feel the need to defend them as if you had some man crush on them.

@xaer04 watch some Home Movies if your not familiar with his other areas. His comedic range is wider than his assholyness. I felt similarly with Maynard James Keenan but i love tool. I got over it when he "left" a perfect circle.

@xaer04 dude, he could spend hours tabbing it, and playing at 1 mile an hour. You can see how much more time is put into metalocalpyse over other shows, theres so much detail in it. He spends a TON of time on it. Another thing, he didn't invent "Betcha can't play this" it's a series. Look at other interviews, hes a really cool dude.

@Livetoheadbang Ok, he wasnt a d bag in other videos but in this its undeniable. I understand stress and not having time, and I even believe in figuring things out on your own to better develop musical ability, but he doesnt have to be a dick about it. I guess its a matter of taste too. Compared to other metal musicians (who also happen to be much nicer - Ive met a few) Brendon isnt much of a songwriter yet he seems full of himself. Doesn't seem right, so I don't feel bad about criticizing him.

Just to clarify, excluding M. Shadows, A7x is a very talented (instrumentally and musically) band with enormous potential, but M. Shadows makes sure that he's the focal point, and if you can't sing, you shouldn't be in a band with a bunch of studs. And I'm sure you people have seen them live; I have always hated A7x while my best friend has always loved them. Like an idiot, I agreed to go to their concert but it was all good because AILD was playing, too. M. Shadows overcasted everyone else..

They're really not that good though. The Rev was okay, probably the best member. Both guitarists are rather bad: their early stuff was okay but ever since their third album they've been unable to eve play their old shit.

A7x has POTENTIAL to be a decent band, but as long as M. "Faggot" Shadows is in that band poisoning it with his nasal-congested "singing," and as long as they remain so flashy and poppy, they're gonna keep sucking ass.

A7X is an aweosme band(my fav) and theyre guitar playing is awesome. Syn knows how to play fucking awesome, and so does Brendon. Dethklok is also a fucking aweome band, i love their sucks but you gotta realize, they are totally different, so there shouldnt be any comparison between who is better or whatever, they are wayyyyy different!

@DedMunkEReborn I'm a huge A7X and Dethklok fan, and I also have been playing guitar for years (as well as drums, singing, and a few others). Synyster Gates is far more technical than the things Brendon Small plays. There's a big difference between playing fast, and playing technical. Syn has both. Brendon has half of it. It's like Dragon Force. Herman sucks. He's fast but He's too random. Nothing works.

@thesmallspure ive been playing guitar for a few years too. both of them have different playing styles. both of them are in 2 different subgenres. Dethklok isn't popish as they are. Sadly they've become pop. I perfer their old stuff. And I see more technical melodies in Dethklok's music than Syn's work. The solos and riffs on their albums are practically the same shit over and over. City of Evil (their worst album) for example.
