You should also make a additional video on how to check for standing wave ratio or "SWR". Some people don't know that if there is an open or short in their coax they can possibly burn up their radio. I know if I refered to this video not knowing how to install a antenna I would be pissed if my brand new radio started smoking. In this matter you could help people save money ahead of time and get the best out of their set up.
I have one just like it on the top of my 92 chevy ext cab truck and has never blown off it just gets pushed over under low bars but it's at least 20 years old and the swr is starting to get high so im switching to a 102" stainless steel whip
do these stay on very good? i've read some reviews where people have trouble with the magnets not sticking good enough and the damn thing falls off in excess of 40 mph.
I think it really depends on placement. If its right on top where the wind will catch it, yeah it might kinda fall off. But Where I have mine, where the draft of air doesn't get at it, I've gone an excess of 90 without issue.
Get yourself a wilson 1000 or 5000 and mount it on the roof. Those rat shack antennas are horrible, with the wilsons theyre base loded(a coil insinde the base) and you want it above the cab of your car so your signal doesnt get blocked as well as to get better swr with the antenna.
it's easy to install one using a mag mount. but you should talk about using bolt on mount and how it's really important to get a really good ground plane. also how placing the cb antenna in the right place to get all the possible range you can
Is that a differnt than your last one

Did you have to cut a slot in the weather strip before you ran the cable into the trunk?

@abcd3314 Actually the cut in the weather strip was already there. It probably helps a little, but I don't think it was necessary.

do you have any problems with water getting in where the wire goes in?
