This "Next Pacquiao" thing is a big reason Nonito made #4. Nonito didn't do the Philipine Steroid stereotype any help by joining Victor Conte. I hope Donaire is NEVER ranked with Pacquaio, Manny got to the top with hard work, Nonito got there by riding Manny's dick! Nonito's just a photoshoot boy who will probably be KO'd by a nobody soon.
I think Donair could be the next great fighter from the filipines but he needs to move up in weight and fight fighters like Gamboa to start making his mark in boxing history
wala kang katulad nonito ang sobrang galing mo sa ring walang duda ikaw na ang the next pacquiao mabuhay ka idol maraming pilipino ang pinapasaya mo sa bitaw ng mga kamao mo..
c'mon pinoys..let's not compare and contrast the two..they are both greats in their respective names...the real opponent is the Gay Chicken Ducker..you know who he is..hahahaha
surely a lot of pacquiao fans here, What if possible we set them to fight each other and then will see who's better real pinoy vs philam^^ it's not about stats
@3starsun: regarding nonito's "disobedience to his dad", we simply don't know the reality behind their relationship as father/son. According to nonito, his dad was psychologically abusive, always making him feel inadequate. if that's true, then you can continue being abused, ask you father to stop, or part ways. nonito sr, probably had too much pride to listen to his son, "Hey, I'm your father, don't talk back to me!!" That's wrong, period..
No need comparing Donaire to Pacquiao. they have their own talents and both Philippine pride. But if it comes to the comparison how Donaire delivered his KO against Montiel, we have to face the facts Donaire was expected to win by majority coz of his many advantages than Montiel. Donaire is much younger, he´s taller & bigger, faster and have 4 inches reach advantage than Montiel. The question is, can Donaire win over a fighter have more advantages than him like Pacquiao did. He´s not yet there.
Nonito Donaire will be the next LUISITO ESPINOSA,, someday this guy Nonito Donaire Jr will realize he made a big mistake by throwing out his original trainer and father in the sideline after he started winning fights and never look back to his number one fans his own family members....Filipino fight fans dont like this guy...
@elciariolouie :ur r one of trainer staff of donaire?or what who r u...we didnt know to predict donaire.he traindes to develop his futuere skills not to go back 2 the something wrong training...im the #1 fans of nonito donaire...from gen.santos city philippines
@narjo18 Bay, it looks like you did not get my point.....you poor guy.... mag research ka at alamin kung sino at ano si Luisito Espinosa noon, at saan na siya at ano na siya ngayon..
Donaire will make his own name and repertoire . Pacquiao and Donaire came from different anglesof boxing. Pacquiao started from 'street fighting' style, giving and accepting punches - he's not afraid of being hit. Continued...
On the other hand Donaire has embraced the principle of 'sweet science', taking advantage of his height and long reach. His style is 'hit and not to be hit' (yup you guessed it right, like that of Mayweather). As proven in his fight against Concepcion, he's not fond of accepting punches. But they have one thing in common - in their shoulders rest the dignity of their beloved country. They go up in the ring and fight not just as a Manny Pacquiao or a Nonito Donaire, but as a Filipino.
Freddie Roach has a way of taking a naturally gifted fighter and turning them into a symphony of violence. He brought Pacquiao up in weight, kept most of hist speed, and added power.I'd love to see Manny cut weight for Donaire but I've gotta see Pacquaio V. Mayweather first. That would be a fight for the ages, friends!
nonito cannot be compared to pacman, nonito fiights like a little girl, i dont think that he will ever be in the main event, i have seen better pinoy boxers than him, it is because he is a U.S. citizen, was the reason he gets better fights than the best back home..
and the last argument: donaire fights in his real weight (very good fighters dont need to fight in almost all divisions for desmostrate his great boxing)
pacquiao 3 weights in 1 year, haha, that isnt natural... sorry , but is an obvious 'trick' of s..........
2 are very good fighters, but I dont care if business around boxing has more support and preference for 2 o 3 guys....donaire is the best Philippines fighter
some differences: pacman is very supported by the business and press and donaire is being underrated....
donaire is very feared and ducked by the guys around his division,
pacman is not ducked by others, they know the business is in his way...
pacman suffered a real defeat vs his last best opponent (very intelligent counterpuncher, marquez), and donaire destroyed his best opponent (one of the best punchers of last years, darchinyan)
i like nonito but there could only be one manny pacquiao and we are so damn lucky to have seen him fight and lived on his era because fighters like pacquiao come only once in a lifetime.
I know Filipinos because I am one. Freddie Roach is misinformed as all others, Manny Pacquiao is dime a dozen in the Philippines. Only Manny got lucky to get the right connections in the United States. Other better fighters are still back in the Philippines beating each others brains out and still lives in squalors.
this foo is not even close! i like nonito but theres no way he will become the next manny! theres a lot filipino boxer better than his boxing style... aj banal is better than him! but aj banal dont have respect to his own self! but if he learn how to train and respect his body he will be one of the greatest filipino boxer ever! aj just need to be focus i mean really dont skip training and dont drink beer when you have a fight!
i dont think he is going to be the next pacquiao because for one, they dont have the same fighting style. im not saying hes not going to be great but hes not going to be a pacquaio.
pacquiao is obviously the aggresive brutal style fighter. Donaire is a more counter type puncher who prawls his opponent.
we're not comparing the two champs here.& we're not trying to say that the two are the same so Donaire would probably be future Pacquiao.we're just trying to see if Donaire ALSO HAVE what it takes to be a great champ LIKE Pacquiao someday.when I say the next Pacquiao I mean is would Donaire be the next Philippines' boxing sensation after Manny's retirement?would he continue to give our country honor like what Pacquiao did?its like when everybody's saying KOBE is the next Michael Jordan.
@3starsnsun yah ,ur correct..thers a long way for donaire to be the next pacman.lots of champions to fight with,we hope he wil walk that way fine..after pacquiao who wil be the next????
Lets see how he is with a great trainer. He needs to improve his footwork, among other things. Comparing him to pac already? wow!? I ain't knockin it Donaire, but time will tell, his skill will improve given the right training. Just as Pac showed the world who the best is.
donaire is a problem but he needs to be promoted better, he has the desire but no exposure, he's got a big fight in montiel which can remind ppl how good he is because it seems that ppl forgot the darchinian fight. but montiel is very good, cant wait to c that fight. As far as being the nxt pac, i dunno, mayb another great fillipino in the making but not pac.
@3starsnsun ya that is right...nonito belong to america,,,by action i dont see filipino within him...he doesnt respect his parents...he a guy full of shit
..oh c'mon pusong mamons...there's entirely nothing wrong with calling Nonito as the next Pacquiao..if he can follow the path of the legendary Pacman then that confirms the truth about the Philippines being a strong boxing nation to the rest of the world...nothing wrong at all...if after him will be the next Filipino Flash then another next Filipino Flash after in the future generation of Filipino boxers to come
a good boxer is a good boxer, their personality only partially affects their fan base.
also for your comment on him talking about his father I belive that a relationship between family members should definatly stay private. no ones perfect, everyones got mistakes. im just blabering now lol. this dudes good though you shouldnt let his personal life judge your way of seeing his boxing skills.
how come if there's another great champ we compare it, or we said the next. dats not right because donaire will never be the next manny paquiao donaire will be donaire paquioa will be paquiao and they're both great. they will earn the respect for what they do and we will remember them as they are a real champion. a pen will right for itself in a blank paper and not the other pen.
we're not comparing the two champs here.& we're not trying to say that the two are the same so Donaire would probably be future Pacquiao.we're just trying to see if Donaire ALSO HAVE what it takes to be a great champ LIKE Pacquiao someday.when you I say the next Pacquiao I mean is would Donaire be the next Philippines' boxing sensation after Manny's retirement?would he continue to give our country honor like what Pacquiao did?its like when everybody's saying KOBE is the next Michael Jordan.gets?
PLEASE...NO HATING AND RACISM HERE...let's have a good exchange of opinions here..PEACE YA'LL!
mijares is way to good for donaire as of the moment but this kid w/ more ring experience with some of the bests will hav a chance to beat mijares.i believe this kid got talent!
YES!! mijares had trouble with darchiyan's style,, but we can't say that just because Nonito Donaire knocked out Darchiyan that he would also knock out mijares,, style's make the fight and i believe that if they fought Mijares would beat Donaire...
i never said anything about race and im not trying to disrespect Nonito as a fighter, all i was saying is that in THIS moment Mijares or Montiel are better for me but theres no doubt that Nonito has talent...
im a fan of manny pacquiao so for me it's not about race and i don't think he's going to be the next pacquiao but he will become a great champion no doubt
yeah, definitely.every boxer is different from the other.maybe Nonito wont even achieved what Pacquiao have achieved but forsure he'll be a great boxer on his own right.
Fernando Montiel is a VERY GOOD BOXER!hands down to him,but he took a beating from a FILIPINO fighter Z GORRES in a very close fight.MIJARES just got knocked out by DARCHINYAN.and DARCHINYAN was KNOCKED OUT by DONAIRE in great fashion.RING MAGAZINE'S "KNOCK OUT OF THE YEAR" & "UPSET OF THE YEAR" in 2007,remember?
you know you're right!! we'll just have to wait and see if he'll become the next great filipino figther and i would like to see him figth the top fighters in the game and those are Mijares and Montiel even tough mijares lost but i still think it would be an interesting fight and after he beats a couple of champions then we will see if he's the next great champ
I think for now,Nonito should fight Montiel first before Mijares.Montiel would give Nonito a good boxing lesson for sure!I love Montiel-Gorres fight,it was a very close fight although my fellow countryman lost it was a good fight!I'm hoping for their rematch.
you don't know shit about strategy don't you? that "one punch" was very well planned. he trained for that situation b/c dumbass Darchiyan always does the same move, so Donaire studied and learn how to beat it, and HE knew that would be his opportunity!!!
also, did you see that entire fight, Donaire dominated Darchiyan bro......so it was no lucky shot. i hate it when "fans" of boxing, who really don't know shit about the sport shoots their mouth off like you! Sad...
all boxer can KO his oponent in one blink and that what happen to darchinyan. he got KO in a sec that what nonito made a champ. and dude that a boxing need to entertaining people so if u think his all that shit ur wrong.
as of todays performance that just sealed the deal for me. yea i agree with you his good and all that but for both of us to agree he's the next pacquaio? i douubt it my friend im filipino and we have the same both dialect to begin with, pacquaio's style is the main reason why he's exciting to watch. and for nonito, at least have our philippine flag tattoed on you forehead next time will ya!
tnx for supporting our fellowman.you got faith on him huh!well,I am also optimistic bout this guy..I mean the kid got power and move very well.i like his style and must say he's a potential...I just hope he's not a "Brian Villoria II".sorry bout that, but Im just too disapointed w/ that guy of ours...hope to see him fight better next time...
cya nga ang susunod kay pacman...wag sa pagkababaero...hahaha

In terms of accuracy, they are equal or Donaire can be greater in the future
In terms of power, Pacquiao has it more but Donaire can equalize in the future
In terms of speed, give it to Pacquiao
In terms of heart, give it to Pacquiao
In terms of chin, give it to Pacquiao (he has unbelievable chin but I don't think he's using steroids)
Donaire fights like bull
Pacquiao is does it by out punching his opponent

In a statement by Donaire jr saying he does not owe his father anything, i felt something that pinched my heart.

donaire is a problem but he needs to be promoted better, he has the desire but no exposure, he's got a big fight in montiel which can remind ppl how good he is because it seems that ppl forgot the darchinian fight. but montiel is very good, cant wait to c that fight. As far as being the nxt pac, i dunno, mayb another great fillipino in the making but not pac.

hey dude i find it chill that pinoys have spanish names to?? but why??
DAVISITO25 3 years ago
because the spanish invaded the phillippines a long time ago and they named filipinos with spanish names
Tottiroll360 3 years ago
They are kind of a mix between asians and hispanics, the language is somewhat similar to spanish too

Pripevochka77 2 years ago
@3starsnsun ya that is right...nonito belong to america,,,by action i dont see filipino within him...he doesnt respect his parents...he a guy full of shit
thedecagon 1 year ago
..oh c'mon pusong mamons...there's entirely nothing wrong with calling Nonito as the next Pacquiao..if he can follow the path of the legendary Pacman then that confirms the truth about the Philippines being a strong boxing nation to the rest of the world...nothing wrong at all...if after him will be the next Filipino Flash then another next Filipino Flash after in the future generation of Filipino boxers to come

In a statement by Donaire jr saying he does not owe his father anything, i felt something that pinched my heart.
For me, he gained our pride being Pinoy with his victory but he lost alot of hearts of the supporters specially the Filipino people.
He better ask Manny Pacquiao how to be humble.
dustin0105 3 years ago
yah,right!
this kid have lots to learn from Pacquiao!
tsk!tsk!tsk!
he's even asking media for privacy?wtf?!
he's not showing traits of a champ!
wake up, Nonito!wake up!

a good boxer is a good boxer, their personality only partially affects their fan base.
also for your comment on him talking about his father I belive that a relationship between family members should definatly stay private. no ones perfect, everyones got mistakes. im just blabering now lol. this dudes good though you shouldnt let his personal life judge your way of seeing his boxing skills.

how come if there's another great champ we compare it, or we said the next. dats not right because donaire will never be the next manny paquiao donaire will be donaire paquioa will be paquiao and they're both great. they will earn the respect for what they do and we will remember them as they are a real champion. a pen will right for itself in a blank paper and not the other pen.
Alvintensity 3 years ago 2
we're not comparing the two champs here.& we're not trying to say that the two are the same so Donaire would probably be future Pacquiao.we're just trying to see if Donaire ALSO HAVE what it takes to be a great champ LIKE Pacquiao someday.when you I say the next Pacquiao I mean is would Donaire be the next Philippines' boxing sensation after Manny's retirement?would he continue to give our country honor like what Pacquiao did?its like when everybody's saying KOBE is the next Michael Jordan.gets?

PLEASE...NO HATING AND RACISM HERE...let's have a good exchange of opinions here..PEACE YA'LL!
mijares is way to good for donaire as of the moment but this kid w/ more ring experience with some of the bests will hav a chance to beat mijares.i believe this kid got talent!
3starsnsun 3 years ago
lucky punch?hahaha watch the whole fight and watch donaire outboxed and dominated darchinyan. donaire is a very good boxer
JVV020988 3 years ago
once he moves up in weight and fights against true fighters, fernando montiel or cristian mijares he's going to get destroyed...VIVA MEXICO CABRONES
p3pe2007 3 years ago
ur just as dumb as ur "VIVA MEXICO CABRONES"...LMAO

screw you
p3pe2007 3 years ago
oh you mean Mijares who just got knocked out by Darchiyan!? LOL, u know the same Darchinyan that Donaire knocked out???
why do so many mexicans like you always gotta show your pride in being mexican by disrecpecting other people's culture, race, nationality, etc...
it shows that you're ignorant, stupid, and classless.........don't make good mexicans look bad chollo!!!
HawaiiRudeboy 3 years ago
YES!! mijares had trouble with darchiyan's style,, but we can't say that just because Nonito Donaire knocked out Darchiyan that he would also knock out mijares,, style's make the fight and i believe that if they fought Mijares would beat Donaire...
p3pe2007 3 years ago
i never said anything about race and im not trying to disrespect Nonito as a fighter, all i was saying is that in THIS moment Mijares or Montiel are better for me but theres no doubt that Nonito has talent...
im a fan of manny pacquiao so for me it's not about race and i don't think he's going to be the next pacquiao but he will become a great champion no doubt
p3pe2007 3 years ago
yeah, definitely.every boxer is different from the other.maybe Nonito wont even achieved what Pacquiao have achieved but forsure he'll be a great boxer on his own right.
3starsnsun 3 years ago
Fernando Montiel is a VERY GOOD BOXER!hands down to him,but he took a beating from a FILIPINO fighter Z GORRES in a very close fight.MIJARES just got knocked out by DARCHINYAN.and DARCHINYAN was KNOCKED OUT by DONAIRE in great fashion.RING MAGAZINE'S "KNOCK OUT OF THE YEAR" & "UPSET OF THE YEAR" in 2007,remember?
3starsnsun 3 years ago
you know you're right!! we'll just have to wait and see if he'll become the next great filipino figther and i would like to see him figth the top fighters in the game and those are Mijares and Montiel even tough mijares lost but i still think it would be an interesting fight and after he beats a couple of champions then we will see if he's the next great champ
p3pe2007 3 years ago
I think for now,Nonito should fight Montiel first before Mijares.Montiel would give Nonito a good boxing lesson for sure!I love Montiel-Gorres fight,it was a very close fight although my fellow countryman lost it was a good fight!I'm hoping for their rematch.

fuck this donaire guy hes not a truw champion, he got lucky with his lucky punch now he thinks hes tha shit, he only fought ones after darchinyan,
kobistay20 3 years ago
you don't know shit about strategy don't you? that "one punch" was very well planned. he trained for that situation b/c dumbass Darchiyan always does the same move, so Donaire studied and learn how to beat it, and HE knew that would be his opportunity!!!
also, did you see that entire fight, Donaire dominated Darchiyan bro......so it was no lucky shot. i hate it when "fans" of boxing, who really don't know shit about the sport shoots their mouth off like you! Sad...
HawaiiRudeboy 3 years ago
all boxer can KO his oponent in one blink and that what happen to darchinyan. he got KO in a sec that what nonito made a champ. and dude that a boxing need to entertaining people so if u think his all that shit ur wrong.

HawaiiRudeboy 3 years ago
as of todays performance that just sealed the deal for me. yea i agree with you his good and all that but for both of us to agree he's the next pacquaio? i douubt it my friend im filipino and we have the same both dialect to begin with, pacquaio's style is the main reason why he's exciting to watch. and for nonito, at least have our philippine flag tattoed on you forehead next time will ya!
jwarrenjg 3 years ago
tnx for supporting our fellowman.you got faith on him huh!well,I am also optimistic bout this guy..I mean the kid got power and move very well.i like his style and must say he's a potential...I just hope he's not a "Brian Villoria II".sorry bout that, but Im just too disapointed w/ that guy of ours...hope to see him fight better next time...
