I'm having some trouble going from note to note without making a chord. I'm very new to harmonica so I know with more practice hopefully it should work itself out...but do you have any pointers? Perhaps i should just start super slow hitting each one...

Hi I bought a 16(x2) hole hohner echo (tremelo?) for my first harmonica which probably wasn't the best idea but my problem is that on my first time playing it a few of my holes sound the same. Is this part of the design or does that need practice or breaking in?

No it's made that way,thats way it' called echo. Not so good for playing blues.

i was able to make clear single note from 1 to 6. But when i use the same technique on hole 7 - 10 i just couldnt get the clear note. it sounded like the air cant go thru the reed properly and it produce a high pitch 'frequency' sound. I was wondering is it my technique or the harmonica that has problems. Thanks!

Could be that you need to brake in the harmonica.

Play the note easy for a week or so. It should get better. If not try another one.

You are a good man when you share your skills. I found some cheap chinese harmonica and the text says Golden Butterfly. It has 32 little holes and I think it's 4 holes per note. Is this only a toy and should I go and buy a real one? Thankyou!

Maybe the quality of your harp isn´t great but you can learn to play with it. Another thing is that big walker is playin on a diatonic (bluesharp) an your harp is a chromatic harp.

Yeah well I just get a new one... But I thought that chromatic ones have the button on the side? My harp doesn't have it. So I suppose it's just some kids' toy harp :D But thankyou anyway!

Yes almost any song in a major key.

You're a superb musician. I just started learning the harp about a week and a half ago and I can't put it down.
