Hi, I mean no offence but in my opinion these science videos based on regeneration, stem cells.. etc.. seems to be always presenting and comparing humans to animal testing, it would be more beneficial if it were more precise in what has been accomplished and evident at this point then to inform others on testings on certain animals capable of regeneration we have been experimenting precisely enough though out the years or even decades. Yet I always try to stay positive although...

All stem cells are taken from the patient themselves and cultured for later injection. To regenerate an appendage would be, among other things, aesthetically difficult. How long would it take to complete the regeneration of a new arm? How would it look compared to the rest of the body. Scientists would have to find a way to accelerate the regeneration process and then find a trigger to stop the process for the appropriate age of the person. This is probably why evolution didn't carry over the regeneration genes for complex life forms like humans.

@beaulieu4008 If regeneration has been extended all the way to vertebrates, I don't see why mammals can't do it. It would be cool, if legalized to use genetic engineering as means of determining whether the genes that regulate regeneration in lower taxa could somehow be used in our species. I definately see more research going on in this field in the future.

if the person is getting that effect from a product she bought online via some random site advertising such an effect, it probably doesn't happen.

if she got it from her doctor via prescription, it probably does happen.
