smart pup guess im old school on teaching i just use voice commands and later in life they get whistle training....there treat is a ice cube they love them

what do you give as a food/praise for the dog??

We use tiny pieces of liver, cheese or chicken, but don't give them every time, verbal praise and a pat worked just as well!. Also, use treats sparingly or you could have apuppy with an upset tummy!

The clicker is a way of letting them know they're correctly doing what you've asked. It's the approval. It provides consistancy.

You use the clicker in the beginning stages of teaching. Then you start using hand signals and slowly ween them off the clicker.

It's basically a form of positive reinforcement training.

The clicker is used to train dogs. When you here the "click" it means they have done something right and are getting food/praise for it.

Some people use it because it is more accurate to train dogs with.
