@nattapolcha It's a 24 hours race remember :) , need to keep it it one piece , you can't push 100% every lap in a Endurance race

Sorry for asking, but I've always wondered this; is there any point to the hole on top of the shifter?

@SubaruRacer171 : If you can save weight to any means possible, then I think one of those can be the shift knob. A few grams of reduced weight can still help... besides, you don't really need a solid piece of gear lever handle. If it wasn't for comfort and easier grip of the lever, it could have been just one straight aluminum bar all the way to the tip connecting the lever to the gear box.
