Yes, you can use regular cotton candy floss with this machine. That being said, it's an awful machine. It's slow, messy, hard to clean and takes a long time to make a cone. That's why they have 5 machines going. it takes forever.

I'm really surprised in the video that they don't tell you that you can use the sugar floss. Seriously it's not just hard candy, most people probably just use the sugar floss anyway.

@JBHelloKittyCandi718 yes I do, is the same one is white and pink just like the one on the video and in the box says that is for hard candy, sugar free candy etc... in fact I never try it to use it with hard candy, all the times I use the machine is with floss sugar or regular sugar and it works great a little slow but what can you ask for a $30 bucks machine lol!!!!

You need to have something to sweep through the bowl to collect the spun sugar. These are washable and reusable, although I imagine you could probably craft something of your own.

regular cotton candy sugar floss should work fine with this just make sure its been turned on for a few mins and then turn off put in only a lil amount of sugar floss it should melt a lil and then turn back on so you don't waste a bag of hard candy trying to make one cone of cotton candy

@cul8trttul If you put more than two pieces of candy in at a time, it won't spin fast enough, and nothing will come out. All you need is two Lifesavers and it works fine.

I got one. Don't use pixie sticks and then add sugar later, it tasted like cough syrup got it at bed bath and beyond for $25 (get a coupon). These machines are for single's hence the 4 machines.

@borilove11 i used regular sugar with coloring and it worked it takes awhile though but tastes great you should after your done put the spining thing in boiling water to melt the sugar that has harden
