I'm beginning to get tired of these "smart Asian" comments. If you are intellectually humbled by a man making popcorn then you are feeble minded. It takes two seconds to do some back reading and uncover that this is a common method of making popcorn in China, and not the invention of a brilliant homeless Chinese man. I'll probably be castigated for saying this, but American culture is abysmal. People think it's strange that I'm young and I read for enjoyment. That says a lot.

I only implied that these "smart asian" comments are misplaced as they're giving credit to a man for inventing a popcorn making method when he's just the machine operator. To all of you wondering why they use this technique, it allows even popping. So all of the kernels pop and you get no leftovers. It also prevents burning of the first kernels that popped.
