beautiful creature. It's a shame that when I visited last year most of the animals seemed miserable and distressed. The penguins were in a filthy tank littered with debris, the black jaguar was pacing it's tiny cage and my heart went out to the poor owl the was forced to have it's photo taken with every visitor and struck by the keeper if it looked the wrong way. I wont be returning
@LollyLouLa I was there a few days ago and glad to report that it was a lot better than your experience. The penguins were in a beautiful environment which looked like it may have been new. Having said that, seeing many of the birds on what seemed to me to be very short short tethers rather than in large aviaries was a little concerning (not that I think birds in cages are a great idea either, by the way). Hopefully they will keep moving in the right direction.
@unicornmatt . Hi Matt. I just wanted to say thank you for giving me this bit of good news. That's great to hear about the penguins- I found it really heart breaking just watching them in that grotty tank. I hope the rest of those poor animals start to see some improvement to their environment soon. As you can guess I'm a bit of an animal lover and I found it difficult to witness such neglect when these animals are in effect generating profit for the park, they should be treated with respect
