It was amazing!Very good job!

but there were some parts where you palm muted notes and chords (specially on the intro) that when i listen to the original, i hear them very bright and it draws your attention you know.

I don't really know how to explain it,but i probably couldn't have done it better myself :)

No actual amp, the effect processor is plugged right into the computer for recording.

Bending (carefully) the neck forward with the left hand while keeping the body in place with the right hand. It sounds like a (very) slight press on a (virtual) vibrato bar.
