Hey does anyone agree that cockroach is a terrible person? Cause he always puts down trains, steam locos, any thing that involves the great railroad, cause I am getting really cheesed off at that moron. And to go on my third side hear, steam must never all be scrapped!!!!!! It is a key piece of what made this country great!! And made the US one the worlds BIG ecomomies! The country has made a good step with the 700 (S&PSRY) by making it a national landmark! Bravo goverment, steam will live on!:)
@nkproad777 Hey man, you should give up on messing with Cockroach2008. I battled out with him when he talked crap about my favorite steamer, Pere Marquette 1225, a 2-8-4 Berkshire currently down for a rebuild. He will bother you as long as you talk to him. All you can do is mark his comments as spam.
yeah the locomotives are collectible to! go scrap electronics or cars piling in our junkyards, lots of money their! china still uses steam locomotives, they have more steam than diesels or electric! chines steam locomotives are very well built!
I wish the Heber Valley would leave this engine like this I like it this way better that single chime whistle sounds like something off the old N&W I like it definatlly has class
@Cockroach2008: I've read some of your other comments, and it seems that you think that taxpayers are paying to keep these things running. Well, they ain't, and the people/companies that pay their own money to keep these things in working condition darn well have every right to do just that! You have a 1-in-10,000 opinion that will never be taken seriously, let alone acted upon. You're simply making enemies with these comments.
@DKurtisWB: I don't care who is financially supporting these pig iron junkers. They all need to be cut apart & melted.
Junk the steam locomotives.
If someone needs fast cash, be it known, the bell, whistle, gauge sets, marker lights, headlight, number boards, control levers, valve handles & many other parts can be removed & quickly sold with no questions asked! Set the price as you wish!
Then, when stripped of all these parts, the steam locomotive is not economical to restore. Junk it!
@DKurtisWB No problem. I have no favorite 20 year old anything! It can all go.
To be honest, you will never have the money! They don't make steam locomotives any longer & those that are remaining should be junked, scrapped, cut apart & melted.
hey dipsh*t, the Chinese will build anything to the specs you provide... brand new, from the ground up... Strasburg Railroad in Pennsylvania can do it too.
You can purchase your steam locomotive at Walmart or Costco.
It would be wonderful if people who are homeless & need some cash for whatever reason were to "venture" onto the yard of the Strasburg Railroad & help themselves to some of those parts from the steam locomotives. Whistles, bells, gauges, headlights, marker lights, number boards, pop off valves, generator, air pumps & many other parts.
@Cockroach2008 yeah, those homeless people will be arrested for tresspassing braindead and since when do homeless people know how to take parts of steam locomotives,do all of us steam railfans a favor and get off youtube you steam hating enironmentalist!
@Cockroach2008 to tell you the truth, their are companies in europe who built steam locomotives. Severn Lamb build either steam outline or real steam locomotives but run on deisel oil but its real steam. you just want the world to be a fucking green planet were everything is environmentaly friendly, well it not so get the fuck over it you have your opinions so stop talking bulshit about junking steam locomotives, it aint going to happen so get a life you moron.
@pennyf9 I am aware of all this. Real steam? Is there an artificial steam?
Don't worry! These things are easily accessed, parts quickly removed, which can be sold for VERY QUICK CASH, with NO QUESTIONS ASKED! The bell, whistles, gauge sets, headlights, & many others. So easy & will disable these clunkers for a long long time!
I never said I wanted a green planet with everything environmentally friendly, but that gives me an idea!
Junking the steam locomotives is a step in the right direction!
@Cockroach2008 when you say junk the steam locomotives, it means you want the metal to be made into oh.. probaly hybrids, cars ,etc and enough with the no questions asked shit! and I just learned, China still build coal fired locomotives (yes they have steam, they don't like deisel or electric!) steam locomotives will not be scrapped (even the ones at Walt Disney World won't be scrapped, what a joke that was!) they'll never be scrapped, NEVER!
@pennyf9, I want the metal used to make new trucks, bridge girders, manhole covers, storm drain grates, even new railroad equipment. Something useful!
Better check your facts! China has stopped building steam locomotives. Argentina was going to, but the plans died with the developer in 2003! Here is a reference to my statement:
@Cockroach2008 Hey Cockroach2008, long time since we last talked. See your still talking crap about steam locomotives, if you have the time to talk all this crap, you must have nothin' to do in your life. Oh, not even a steamer to scrap, how joyful of a thought is that. You must like steamers somewhat, because a lot of the steam locomotive videos I find have on them somewhere your name and a comment. Weird.
@PereMarquette1223 I am just looking here for a parts resource for people who need QUICK CASH! These parts sell to collectors for CASH with NO QUESTIONS ASKED!
I know when enough is removed, it will be beyond economic reason to salvage, recover, rebuild, refurbish or restore. Then it is off the the scrap yard. Hopefully mine where we will happily deliver the coup de gras when we cut the axles!
I don't know that you have any personal relationship with me, since you & I have never met.
Steam locomotives are no longer cool, yet they were a part of history. History belongs between the pages of a history book. They have been documented, photographed & filmed enough.
It is time to strip them of valuable collector parts & junk what remains out. Time to melt these clunkers & use the materials for new products.
Homeless people can use the COLD HARD CASH & there will be NO QUESTIONS ASKED!
That whistle is a Hayden and Gere 6" Diameter hooter from the mid to late 1800's. How do I know? I sold it to the Heber employee who currently owns it.
what a scenic view great train video thanks.

@Cockroach2008. Well, how would you like it if your favorite 20 year old car got scrapped without your permission? Same principle applies here.
To be honest, when I have the money to do so, I might just make an order for a newly built steam locomotive. :)
