  • i could understand if he was earning a living by competing in bjj but dam he broke his back for nothing. you don't even get money for competing

  • I PRAY TO GOD HE IS OK 100 %

  • hmmm hows the brazilian laugh?... oh yeah... "HUE HUE HUE HUE KKKKKKKK"

  • Makes me scared to roll.

  • i love BJJ!!

  • rrrrrrrrr that was freaky to watch......

  • 3:42 the injury is at :)

  • haha... that was totally fuckedup!!

  • Fucking shit it heard the crack

  • haha the nigga its hurt xD

  • oooooh fuuuuuuck!!!

  • I'm surprised he was even able to scream (or breathe) after that "back bar".

  • press ''9''

you can see his opponent "Shit, what have I done"

  • Man , that shocked me , hope the dude healed up to be 100% healthy again after this?

    what happened?

  • @respeezy wudnt be suprised if he's in a wheelchair from now on =/

  • god damn

  • My friends and I,"Oh, SHIT!"

  • mother fuc*er id love ta giv ya a go doin sometin like that. 5 mins only 5mins

  • Till they must to go?????

  • Till they must to go?????

  • Just because you can move your legs at the time of the injury doesn't mean you won't become paralyzed. They keep moving him around improperly. Damn, that was a spine snapping move if I ever saw one. That rattles me to the bone. I have broken my back and I know what it feels like.

  • i think it's the other guy's fault

he should've went back a little bit to get that guy's head out from the ground

  • @esmaelooo Thumbs up for your comment

  • did this guy make a full recovery or was he paralised for good someone please tell me please

  • @no1butmeau umm, he's clearly moving his legs, feet and arms in the video, it's unlikely he's paralyzed....

  • WTF WAS THE JUDGE DOING, MOTHER FUCKER!!!! AND THIS IDIOT DIDNT HAD TO BRAKE HIS BACK JUST TO WIN!!!

  • Was his own fault. he went for a kneebar without letting go of his full guard. He took away the other guys leg. He could only fall that direction. by keeping his guard close, it kept his legs wrapped up, and bent him in half. Terrible luck, but not the guy on tops fault whatsoever.

  • Ow? wonder if the mat's ok

  • Solid potato salad...

  • @youtert hahahahahahahahah they wouldn't have a problem with that XD

  • that was like bad Jericho Wall:DD

  • what he was trying?!! if he don't know what he is doing why must do???:OOO

  • I have to say this is on the ref. SHould have been watching all angles.

  • Damn that looks nasty!

  • why didnt he just open his guard and sweep him.........

  • @Sanderson5658 Hes an asshole, IMO.

  • 1 in a million chances of this happening again

  • no martial arts i mean no martial arts has a chance versus jiu jitsu

  • Probably a broken vertabrae. Does not mean he is paralized.

  • Gay

  • 0:33 - 1:32 gay!!!

  • No comparte este tipo de disciplina, hay que tener contacto físico....., prefiero el karate, golpeo y rompo, no tengo contacto más que con mis nudillos...jajajajajj

  • Does anyone know any details on the injury and how this poor guy is today?

  • That sucks. As someone who studies BJJ, when someone is going to put me in a position like that, I know whats going to happen next, that way I can position myself if needed. Sometimes that doesnt always work, but we know that accidents happen, and we all train safely, but when something goes wrong, we know its not always the other guys fault. Today someone fell on my leg, and ankel, hurting me badly. Its black and blue, and im going back tomorrow. No pain, No gain!

  • I don't know anything about rules but that was about as intentional as you could get. He had to set him up for it. He doesn't look paralyzed because his legs seem to work. Hope he came back and whipped the tar out of this guy.

  • @rwsmith29456 it wasn't intentional. his foot positioning was wrong and he slipped. this happens. people get hurt when they train combat sports. its the risk you take when you decide to undertake such a sport.

in BJJ even for a beginner, if they lock something in, it will hurt, if they over extend in training on something as simple as an arm bar, they will break you're arm. this stuff happens. its unfortunate, but true. unlike boxing, everyone is friends after a BJJ match, theres no bad bloos

  • chris jericho would be proud.....

  • DAMNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN, that sucks, that like the walls of Jericho. i hope the damn recovered from that.

  • Sad how the crowd was clapping

  • lets all pray and hope that the injured bjj fighter is okay?

  • Did that guy get paralzed!?

  • OUCH!

  • isso foi foda !

  • Brutal,t hough i respect at 4:07 that Anthony Scales knelt down an said a prayer for him. Much respect for his opponent and did not intentionally hurt him; just part of the sport.

  • ouch.... that's not nice

  • Holy shit.

  • @AboveEmAllProduction Yah, you are missing something, it's called a fucking brain. I guess one day when someone chokes you out or leaves you lying twisted like a pretzel on the ground you'll look pretty gay. Or when you're lying in the hospital paralyzed from an inverted gogoplata you'll think back to the guy that "hugged" you into paralysis. Don't talk shit about a martial art you know nothing about.

  • @AboveEmAllProduction Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a martial art. Not a Gay sex porno if that's what your looking for it's not on youtube and I apologize. A real martial art and unfortuantly for the fighter a dangerous accident

  • @AboveEmAllProduction

yea, your repressed sexual fantasies of your father.

    zing.

  • Whoever it was who got injured put himself in that position. He arched his back and posted on his head. I would say in a real fight the winner obviously did the right move and was not his fault. He took advantage of the situation, even if it was an accident, and I say bravo.

  • @jbamos99

naaaah there is no reason to seriously injure someone outside of a life or death situation regardless of how easy the person is making it.

  • mierda que mal

  • holy shit EPIC BEARD MAN call ambulamps

  • Call an amberlamps!

  • Karate is from Okinawa. Ju Jitsu is practiced in "mainland" japan. It is a Martial arts perfected on the battle field. Their are many forms of Ju Jitsu. Helio as mentioned practiced and perfected the ground game or Ne Waza. Judo was created by taking all the throws from ju jitsu and making it a "Sport". That is why although some Ne Waza do exit in Judo it is almost all throws.

  • jezz, break his back why don't ya! use a bit of commonsense. that was a dangerous move

  • Comment removed

  • Damn!!!... That hurts Just watching it... Feel sorry for him.

  • arghhh.... yo tmb practico bjj y da miedo ver este tipo de lesion :s

  • very good attempt for the arm bar

  • @knukles64he was closer to to leg then arm, he was in guard and looked as if he was trying to kick his leg down ,and flip onto his belly, like what could happen in a arm bar.he ended up in a boston crab like position, and the other guy just guided him then went to the ground ,spine breaker ,back breaker.dont leave your neck in this way ,a bad wrong move.i have never seen this ,dont no what he was thinking ,

  • What happen is the guy in the bottom try to do a sweep. You have to put your arm around the opponent leg and push and pull in order to make the opponent fall. The thing is the opponent did a move to break his sweep....and the result is a freaking bad accident. I do bjj and i had a neck injury too....very painful.

  • joder! k mala suerte....fijaos la cara de arrepentimiento k tiene el ejecutor de la llave....madre mia ...eso es partir el espinazo como dicen...espero k se recuperen los dos pronto...el bjj es mi deporte favorito!

  • nice move

  • Damn....

  • BJJ is tough

  • Damn that's painful to watch

  • hope everyone's ok... bad accident... :(

  • what a complete fucking idiot. its like he tried to do an armbar but with his spine.

  • rip

  • That was fuckin horrible. I jumped when i seen it come on. hope he's ok. I have to agree with Infecteroid117 though.

  • @moonux This is a sport. Not fight to the death or UFC. They both do this for the pasion of BJJ. Its fun the last thing they want to happen is someone to get hurt. Those that are in UFC have a differnt Mentallity.

  • @AMillerStephen Glad someone said it. I'm sure he felt bad about it, he didn't do it on perpose.

  • BJJ is a great sport. The chances of this happening if you practice with proper technique and under controlled supervision is highly unlikely

  • @Infecteroid117 how often is a real fight under controlled supervision

  • whats happen is he dead ?

  • can anyone tell me what the diference between BJJ and judo is? I´ve practiced judo for 7 years and can´t see ANY difference. Eccept breaking my back (i really hope it wasn´t that bad)

  • I have been doing judo for 6 years and Bjj is a spin off of judo basically. The count of kombat maeda was a judoka who brought kano's techs to brazil around 1913 and met the gracies and taught their sons. One of them was helio and hence forth bjj was born. Helio modified the judo guard by fighting out of it more than throwing ur opponent.

  • not really no, he modified the japanese jujitsu to fit fighters who were not to big and strong.

  • judo came from original jujitsu bjj and judo are the same in sport judo the point comes from the throw then u stand up but the heart of judo is katame waza standing technique and nee waza ground technique u must have both in judo tho in competition they emphasis throws

  • You mean Tachi Waza standing techniques and Ne Waza ground techniques. Both Judo and Jiu Jitsu Came from Ju Jutsu which was originated in Okinawa Japan by the Samurais. Esai Maeda was a Japanese immigrant refugee in Brazil who tought Carlos the oldest of the gracie brothers the art of Ju Jutsu/ Japanese combat Judo as a thank you for your hospitality. Helio however "modified" the techniques to form Jiu Jitsu which is simply the Ne Waza part of Judo Ground techniques.

    -Kind Regards- ChavaMMA

  • You're partially right

  • All helio did was train on Ne Waza ground techniques. Both Judo and Jiu Jitsu Came from Ju Jutsu which was originated in Okinawa by the Samurais.

  • I wanna do bjj but damn what are the chances of this happening!? Broken arm or leg is one thing, but broken back or neck that's scary.

  • thats not a dirty move, that is 100% legal and a damn good reversal i must say

  • the guy at the bottom was dumb...he should have seen that happening and protected himself by changing positions. Instead he tried to be stubborn and hold his ground in the same position.

  • just bite him

  • It wasn't dirty at all. The guy on top stood up and turned to break the other guy's guard. The guy on top was leaning back for a leg lock and didn't realize that he left the other guy's upper body behind. Total accident, terrible, but an accident.

  • watch 3:40 +

  • omfg. either a brocken neck or vertabrate in the back. very painful.

  • motherfucker should be in prison, didnt he noticed thats his head was shoveled in

  • Hard to Say..BUT DEAD...

    His Fingernails are dead..poor thing

  • oh my godddddddddd!!!!!!!!!

  • Had to have been a broken back. Painful!

  • Yeah, that was a fucking dirty move. The guy must have known that would happen or his neck would get fucked up.

  • what happen to tat guy after this accident??did he recover??

  • poor guy

  • i dont know man he was watching the guy the whole time when he locked his face on the mat and he then started the hyperextention and fell back with all his weight on it he knew that was gonna happen and if he didnt hes ignorant as hell

  • no he probably thought his opponent had his chin tucked in no1 does that on purpose man

  • eso le pasa por imbesil y practicar cojudeces, mejor esta el karate.

  • a la mierda a scales q lo metan preso

  • Wow that was scary and please don't blame all Americans never in my life have i said anything close to GD.Fing. Damnit .

  • That's just unfortunate.

  • well thats where your wrong... it's legal

  • yeah it wasn't any spine lock. just an unfortunate event.

seemed like the the opponent noticed he was going for the sweep so i think he intentionally fell back for a leg lock.

    nothing intentional.

  • wwe sucks its for faggots, thats why its called fake wrestling....... bjj is a tough sport this is very unlucky but accidents are always goin to happen, this one could have been prevented if he tucked his chin into his chest but he didnt know, hope he recovers!

  • good point .

  • Why the fuck are you talking about wwe in a BJJ video , godfuckingdamnit are you dumb

  • i replier too someone who said wwe is better, no need too go american on me

  • I'm not American

  • your not american, but you still say 'godfuckingdamnit are you dumb' sounds very wierd and american too me :) but if you say your not then why why would you lie :P americas the best country in the world ahhahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! not

  • I'm from Belgium wtf

  • okay. so why mouth ? lol

  • Why not ? Censorship is stupid anyway

  • because you made yourself look stupid...

  • health care is better, less unemployed people, less junkies, less alcoholics, less homeless people, less crime, better night clubs, less fat people, less goths, less mouthy people, better food over here mate :) only thing i like about america is some clothes and mtv

  • better than that country? and why?

  • well its just a good place....

  • Dumb sense of safety, on attackers part....he appeared not to take care? Obviously it was an illegal spine hyperextension move. (banned in jujitsu??)

In judo you would be disqualified for this.

Perhaps a 2 year ban, depending on the injury and intention, we must all take care not to break backs/necks.

  • hahahaha go to 00:46

  • isn't it soposed to be fin?

  • holy mother of god! poooooor guy... i hope hi's good...

  • is death?

  • it sounds like you're exaggerating but there's a lot of truth to that! fortunately it doesn't happen often but, you bet, it can be incredibly dangerous.

  • its an injury it happens

  • that was soooo dirty ,, like a inverted sharpshooter

  • jesus what is the pint in trying to pull a move like that, he could have fucking killed him. see kids when they say don't copy wrestling moves like an attempt at the walls of jericho this is why they don't want you to do it

  • y the fuk would that guy bust a move lik that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! fukin idiot!!! the ref to fukin dumbass pour guy no hes paralized damn ; (... that shit look lik it hurt i got chills as a matter of fact... ; (

  • He ain't paralized as a matter of fact he recovered.

  • And this is why i dont compete

  • Lion Tamered.

  • goals for a high school football team TOPEUROGOALS(.)COM

  • why in the fuck is the reff all da way ova there he could have stopped it before it happened if he was abit closer

  • its not realy the reffs fualt its the fighter he shouldnt of left his head on the matt to use as support he should of picked his head up

  • he actually wasnt the one doing the move, the other guy was lifting him then twisted over and went down and CRACK, poor dude =/

  • you can actually hear his back snap with the volume up loud, man that must fucking kill, well i dunno if this guy is still alive?

  • broke his back... Hate that man..

  • SOUL ................. destiny has it

  • I heard this guy died... seriously

  • I dont think he died man,

But He was paralyzed after that one..

  • eigter way wow your a dumbass

  • At least I know how to spell, not like your retarded ass.. :)

  • I do know how to spell you dumb bitch im online i type however the fuck i won't to bitch.

  • I smiled when I saw him move his legs after the other guy let him go, thank god he didn't get paralyzed.

  • omg that was well bad

  • holy shit that looked painful. i hope that dude didnt break his back

  • hazmi21 what are you talking about no-one will win or lose? go on the matt with a good bjj artist and he will make you tap out like a little bitch.

  • this thing is a waste of time ..... no one will win or lose here ....

  • you are an idiot. you go in that fight and in 2 seconds ull be tapping out so hard ull break the floor. dumbass

  • dude. that happened to me once. holy fuckin crap.

  • Poor guy! In Robert Drysdale Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy, I am also getting bjj training under Robert Drysdale, multiple time bjj world champion. Visit his official website, RobertDrysdale. Net to watch bjj videos.

  • Holly fuck! Did the guy ever recover?

  • damn that must of hurt his back was folded like in half basically ughh..tough to watch..

  • Are you crazy? Did you see how he bent backwards??

  • u tit. read up on this, it was a fracture. of corse it wud fucking hurt

  • He wasn't faking it, it hurt like hell, and the word is spelled "lose".

  • dumb. fuck.

  • Son! tht is killer... ugh- i feel sorry for tht guy for sure!

Kudos to his opponent on seeing tht he was hurt and backing off immediately!

and as for brainhacked.. You ever been in a situation like tht? apparently not.. sometimes gravity takes over and you just fall back
