Fantastic that Bart of all people would be offended by a joke about a fictional death. Or that Marge would make that joke in the first place considering her hatred of Itchy and Scratchy and other violent shows. That's why I used to love the Simpsons, deliberate inconsistencies and contradictions to keep you on your toes.

@LoafOfPint Yeah, and they were well thought out too, It wasn't complete random garbage like alot of the more recent episodes... There was some great location inconsistencies as well like, 'the only bridge out of town' in the comet episode and 'the powerplant right behind the simpsons backyard' in the stonecutters episode.
