@jebman18 Which accent in Britain? There's loads. Is it the Hugh grant one that Americans think we speak like and nobody speaks in real life except the Queen?
@h879xx I don't really know bro. It's not thick like Hugh Grants its just there and only there during live shows. speaks like a dude born In Illinois in interviews and then live shows he talks like a Brit.
This song is a lyrical masterpiece....sad in it's content yet so powerful....if you have ever been in this situation, it would be like a punch in the gut..
@aa0324 Agreed. The song, lyrically, is quite simple and straightforward yet amazingly powerful. Paints a really clear picture. I really like the lyric "They can't say I never tried" which Ed sometimes sings instead of "Was a dream that had to die" after the bridge.
This song is a true testament of how good a singer Eddie is, even today at his age while he drinks and smokes like he does, he can nail a song that requires so much breath control
I don't play drums, but if i did, i would defintely try to play like cameron---of course, i play guitar and it is nothing like mike, stone or eddy, so whatever...point is matt rules!
@msorte yup definitely one of the grooviest rock drummers of the past 20 years... discovered his qualities rather late on, but his playing seems pretty thoughtful to me, like actually figuring out what playing fits the song as a whole. that's rare
2:15 little light flashing over his face ... i've seen the light :D

Letterman nearly always has awesome bands on his show :D Eddie sounds as fantastic as he always did great work!

Does it seem like the backing harmonies continue near the end of the song even though neither person is standing near a mic? Maybe just my ears...
superfuntimehappy 8 months ago
@superfuntimehappy there are two harmonies in this songs, one is "ooooooo" singed by Stone and Jeff, and the other is "aaaahhh" singed by Matt.

@jwarnerfortsmith Matt is so steady, soulful, and he fits every song perfectly. I've been a big fan since 1990.
