    Rc world!

  • EPP The future in model making ..

  • best place for epp foam blocks and sheets is diret from manufacturers, FOAMS4U DIRECT best prices around and very quick delivery, call Daniel on 07772 290636 he will help you out guaranteed.

  • were did u get the foam from??

  • Very helpful. Thanks for the tips.

  • nice stuff for newbies to train with for sure, but it'll never compete with depron in scale rc planes. simply to soft as is and would require to much additional reinforcement on even the simplest of components. again though, great entry level material for beginners.

  • would have been better if we could see it flying

  • In order to keep this plane from being confused with the test plane Goblin from the 50s I put a double "B" in the name.

  • How do you make the aerofoil shape on the wing?

  • Look at utahflyers org for instructions on how to build a foamcutter

  • I dont understand, what is the fishing line at the side of the fuselage for?

  • supposed to be tension, never used the method though, always went with carbon fiber rods

  • Foam planes need both tension and compression strength. The carbon can be used for both but the fishing line acts as a shock absorber.

  • It is good to use a combination of carbon for compression strength and fiber tape or fishing line for tension strength.

  • The fishing line stops the fuselage from tearing. EPP won't crush but it will tear.

  • It is a shock cord that keeps the fuselage from tearing. It adds tension strength without a lot of added weight.

  • GREAT video, GREAT helpful techniques, UGLY plane!

  • I agree that the flat foam planes are not as pretty but they are light and simple. The plane flies great too.

  • What is EPP foam can I get it at Lowes or home depot?

  • EPP is a new age foam the will bend without breaking and smash and return to it's original shape. You can get it from bob at flyingfoam

  • depron is much easier to use and repair

  • Depron smashes and crushes and crunches and breaks. EPP doesn't.

  • is coroplast polypropylene?

  • The style of plane is uncovered foam to keep the weight down. Looks good for EPP foam. Hot glue is tougher than the foam and is a common hinge method. Tape won't stick to waxy EPP foam. Thanks for comments!!!
