  • Can you tell me what kind of plywood that is? Thx

  • @steveyodog Its actually just an MDF core. I usually don't use the stuff but it was all I could find with the walnut veneer I wanted at that time.

  • @TheWoodWhisperer Thank you for the fast response. This is deffinatly a project I want to do.

Im a handy man wanting to start doing pieces like this, so Im alittle green. Thx again. BTW, I have

Learned a lot from your Vids. im still trying to watch them all....:-)

  • you are awesome dude! I learned a ton with your videos. I like to work with wood but i am not a skilled carpenter at all i ljust like to build some of my own stuff just like you said mass produced furniture lacks some of the ideas you may have. thanx for your knowledable tips

P/D: ¿Quien es la chica de la foto que esta en el casillero?

  • @rohenwi I would guess that's my wife. I don't think we've ever had any other girl on the show. :)

  • Mark: You are a top woodworker and a great teacher. Thanks for the excellent contribution you have been giving the WW community.

  • son interesantes los videos el problema es que son muy largos y seria exelente que los pudieran traducir al español thank,

  • @42crg Check out YouTube user elsaxofonista for some of our videos translated to Spanish.

  • @42crg Hola soy de Venezuela y los videos son muy interesantes pero si los traducieran al español me gustarian mas.

  • Do you ever use Hot Hide Glue??

  • Oddly enough, I never used the stuff in my shop. I have used the stuff in the bottle though.

  • I like how you said youwere useing a minimal number of tools, but you used your jointer, planer, miter saw, your japanese chisels and leigh plane

  • I guess you missed the parts where I demonstrated and discussed the various inexpensive alternatives? And what does the brand of my chisels and block plane have to do with anything??

  • Hey Marc,

Good catch pointing out the "climb cut" issue during your trenching (dadoing) operation in this part of your series. However, I would more appropriately have called that "router drift" or "router travel direction bias," and furthermore have mentioned that the operation should be performed in a direction such that the router pulls away from the reference edge and thereby pulls its attached fence against the reference edge, providing tension between

  • good vid marc,

i recently built an entertainment unit too ( i made a video , just click on my username if u want to see it )and found that they make great projects.

not only are they easy to make , but the main thing is that you can make them to your own custom design and specification.

i spent a total of 50 euro on plywood and i got the satisfaction of making it myself.

im not even a qualified woodworker, so with minimal tools, its more than possible to produce decent results.

  • My dad always said "If you cut it too short, you can splice it. If you cut it too long, I don't know what you can do."

  • Measure twice, cut once...

  • I wish I still had wood shop! I now graduated so now I have to find a shop. I hope to have my own someday. Love the videos! Something different from beer bellies and flannels. lol

  • i need more please!!

  • well he does have 69 total videos

  • And if you're feeling really adventurous, we have over 100 videos on our website. Haven't had a chance to upload them all here yet.

  • Marc, Thanks for these two videos. This is a great idea...building projects with "minimal" tooling! If you haven't already made a video on building book shelves using these techniques, please consider doing so.

    Thanks for your good work!!

  • i love that you don't make a show that tries to sell thousands of tools for every little job. I hope that doesn't change...
