Great video. I once witnessed a stoat chase a rabbit across an open field. The rabbit eventually stopped before getting caught, started squealling its head off, and then awaited its fate, which was very swift. I then approached and as the stoat dissapeared I knicked the rabbit. LOL!!
i generally hate rats and love stoats, ferrets and anything thats mongoose-like, but this was brutal. Not because of the dragging and throat ripping. But because that rat looked too fat to even fight back, it just kinda laid there and took it.
@Ramonerdna I doubt if the rat laid there...It was the end of a long battle...The stoat killing method is deadly at best...They tend to favor the back of the neck between the head, and simply bite, and rip thru that area, until paralyzed...They know exactly how to get there, a method used with rabbits, twice their size...I guess to avoid kicks, scratches, and bites...They got a lot of heart.
