weight isn't everything, it does help with traction but the 2:1 geared hubs are what allow hummers to pull like they do

Like i said earlier, 6.5 hummer has 170hp and 200ftlbs of torque, which is not much AT ALL, its all gearing, and assuming this is the 6.5 turbo hummer its got 195hp and 495ftlbs of torque, which is okay, but not for a truck that size, the gearing makes up for it...

if you think 495ft lbs of torque is massive, you have never looked at the ratings for any diesel engine.. my 7.3 powerstroke with a tuner, and exhaust, has over 800 ft lbs of torque.

gears really dont have that much to do with a tug of war...its mostly all about weight then traction...i put my jeep rubicon up against a grand cherokee...my rubi has 4:1 T-case and 4:11 gears and good tires...Goodyear MTRs...but it just doesnt weigh enough...even in 4-lo it just spins its tires against the grand which weighs more...

hell, i wouldnt even put my 10-spd freightliner with a 515 HP detroit up against a bone stock 4wd F-250...even tho its got very low gears, the f250 is heavier

Well Just for those of you that dont know The things that matter to win a pull is Gear Ratio The slower the gear the more torque you have...Then It Helps to weigh more than what you are pulling and in this case that Hummer weighs more than both of those 2 Subarus put together...And lastly traction and tires are a must... something the Hummer has on Grass or Pavement which the cars cannot match on Grass or Pavement..Face it the Hummer is for Pulling and Mudding.. and the Cars are for Racing
