  • @kchyatt My kids say it's an emo song... who am I to argue with them? :p

  • Nice work, man. This isn't a song you'd expect to sound good outside the studio, but you pulled it off. Well done.

  • @zolluuu Thanks man. I played this at an open mic a couple of weeks ago, and people loved it. I've always liked this song, but your right that it's not one you'd think of playing without a lot of electrical backup.

  • I wanna learn this song now!

  • @soggychrist Sweet! Post it so I can see when you learn it.

  • Ditto all the positive comments. This is just simple excellent work.

  • @ockamsrazr Thanks. This vid always gets views this time of year :)

  • WOW, this is the coolest cover of Every Day Is Halloween that I heard....

    awesome :-)

  • @pilyavsky Thanks!

  • This is brilliant!

  • @iliadav Glad you liked it

  • good job dude

  • Great job!

  • @deeze6 Thanks!

  • Great cover! Mind letting me know the guitar chords? I think this would be a fun song to try out with an acoustic.

  • Thanks for the comment. I just picked 'em out by ear, but these are the chords that I use:

Em Am / Em Am (2x) C Am Em Am / C Am Em C Am Em C Em

  • you sound like jack black

  • Too bad I'm not funny

    :p

  • wow, better than any cover I've heard.

  • Thanks!! That's pretty high praise

  • Beautiful

  • I can only assume you are talking about my hair

    ;p

  • Oh yes! It has nothing to do with your immense amount of talent. =P

  • What a beautiful & strange cover of my absolute favorite song!!

I never post on youtube- but I had to here- this is amazing & wonderful! Thank you!

  • Thanks! I've always loved this song, and really had no idea how it would come out as a cover like this. It was fun to do.

  • Nice job! ;)

  • Thank you

  • i don't want to seem like one of these people on here who has the mental capacity of a 5 year old, but emo is destroying a very special culture, you have done well on this i wasn't sure to start off with but it has worked and if i was you i'd feel proud

  • I'm with you on this. My 17 year old daughter says this song is emo, but I think there is a lot of good stuff out there from bands like The Cure, The Smiths, and Ministry that reflect very valid cultural shifts from the late '80s and early '90s. My kids just see alot of the more recent music in that mode as trying to capitalize on a certain market segment.

I love that kind of music, though. I'm glad you thought I did an OK job with this.

  • this was out way before emo was coined how dare you!

  • Love this song but have to agree, when this came out the term emo did not exsist.... it was gothic and industrial.

  • Yup... I've been duly chastized

  • i thought, this dude, this song, no way. but it works, good job!

  • Thanks

  • Good,

    Bether Than Ezra!

    That would be cool!

    K

  • I'll check out some Better than Ezra.

    Thanks!

  • Used a piano in this one huh? Cool! This is a good song, good job. Is that your house? Really beautiful. That electric guitar is really cool. By the way, do you take song requests? lol, that'd be neat

  • You have now seen my entire repetoir on the piano: three notes.

I'm open for requests, but I don't have a ton of time, and I'm not that good, so it takes me a while to work something up. If you've got suggestions, I'd love to hear them, though
