  • i definitely relate to what you were saying about parents dealing with children with rage issues. I had quite bad rage problems when I was younger (still do but that's besides the point of the story :P ) and some of the things that my parents would say to me definitely have stuck in my head over the years.. and I find it hard to let go of some of those things.

*lurks the rest of your videos* lol

  • We should all try to subscribe to the channels that have Tourettes videos in honor of

Tourettes awareness month, or at least subscribe and favorite that channels and videos with the best Tourettes videos like this one! Tictionary rules!

  • THANK YOU, so much, for this, and please DO, continue to send these out...those in our household who also "rage", do not read books....yours is one of the few ways I could possibly draw their atention in....keep us updated! And best blessings to you!

    :)

  • I'm going to attempt to locate that book as well. I've bought a few medical encyclopedias but I've already read all the interesting bits on neurology and psychology in them. It would be nice to have a book solely on the topics in 'Tictionary'.

  • I think i'll have to see if I can find that book in the library or book store, it would be great if you could do some reviews for any other good books like this you have read as well!

  • wow, that sounds like a great book. i'd love to read it, i'll check that out some time.

True, i totally agree with u. a parent needs to try their hardest to respond positively, showing unconditional love, and not to let their own short-term feelings and frustration about the situation get in the way.

nice video, thank you so much for sharing.

    *peace

  • Awesome, I actually contributed to that book! Glad it's a great resource

  • Really? Nice one! :-D

  • When can one say that his/her tics are a problem that is out of the ordinary. I've had tics and compulsions all my life but I have more control than do the people on youtube commonly diagnosed with Tourettes, etc. They also change up and I acquire new ones over time. I've managed to rid myself of a few, but I gain far more than I lose and it's gradually gotten worse over my life.

  • Yet another informative video. You asked earlier what we'd like to see - I'd like more of this. What you would advise parents to do or not do, and how you arrived at that advice. I want to be my son's number one support and resource regarding his currently mild, but obviously inherited, tics. Thanks for being so open and sharing what you discover with the rest of us so we can go find out more.

  • Another fantastic video. Thank you for sharing.

  • Is that the book that you receive when you join Tourette's action ?

  • I don't know, sorry - I have never joined Tourette's Action.

  • Your back! Nice video, very helpful. :0)

  • I love your videos! I was so excited to see a new one up!

Thanks for the reading suggestion, I'll add it to my book list! :D

And I think it's really important that more parents get education on how to deal with children with any condition that can be challenging. I wish more people got that message out, of not making comments like that. I think it's great that you're talking about that, too. :D

  • Glad you're back, Tictionary! I think I'm going to try and get a copy of that book. Many thanks.

  • dis is really helpful, especially the second half that u talk about parents n children. thanks

  • I'm glad you find it helpful and thanks for your comment :)

  • Great post as always. Good to have you back!

  • Thanks :) Glad to be back :)
