wow! what a great vid. seriously. joey (my lilac) "flew" away once. i saw him getting chased away by sparrows. we found him a block away calling me. it was traumatic at the time for me but now i just think its funny. after that he doesn't leave my shoulder when we go out. thanks for posting this!
Yes, that was Chris Biro that the male baby amazon landed on, the other one landed a few people over. This was taken at Cockatoo Downs at the Flyabout in October 2006.
It takes alot of training. It is possible to teach your parrots to fly, but you don't have to fly them outdoors. Some fly indoors only, in large halls. Go to the FreeFlight yahoo group for more information.
