The fact that it disappears really doesnt take anything away from the game, in the middle of a fight when things are blowing up you really wont be stopping to look on the floor for the peaces, you will be trying to survive, I think the destruction and smoke really adds to the feel of really being in a battlefield.

It's true a lot of the Destruction disappears through the ground. In fact Critics were not impressed by the Destruction of the Game, calling it only a slight improvement. They also criticized the Game's huge amount of Glitches, and Story-Line. The Game received an average of 9/10, lower than COD4 and MW2. BF3 is a stunning Game, but they should have backed down a bit as there was just too much hype, and bashing of MW3.

I like the destruction and all, but the building parts disappear after a while, and Crysis does not...

Most of the buildings on Crysis are made out of metal, so you can't really... blow it up like a more modern building, unless you are modding...
