  • Excuse me! for people win claim this isn't tai chi, get your facts right before commenting. seriously make a FOOL Out of yourselves. His movements are Taiji movements, pieced from the 5 main Taiji styles. Wonderful performance and those criticising him, i bet you're jealous of what he can..

  • WUSHU STYLE!..

  • very good balance

  • @TheKuroNekoChan lol??? tai chi is more than just glamorous dancing, maybe you need to research on what tai chi is

  • @TheKuroNekoChan no...

  • @TheKuroNekoChan you think this is dance classes? wait till he beats you up with tai chi ten you'llbe sorry

  • @TheKuroNekoChan Lol what a loser you are.

  • Simply beautiful.

  • great wushu, wish you the best for new 2011 year

  • @screwyouall98 so true.

  • or zhou bin

  • wu ya nan

  • reality is staring at you. This is the form of Wushu/Taichi martial art used today in competition. It is beautiful, yes. Fighting is not the obvious intention although, these forms are applicable. If fighting is what you are looking for, than seek other sort of competition. Try Sanshou! of Sanda! This was an awesome performance. A lot of hard work was put into it get to this standard. Its an excellent guide to for people who are passionate about this sport.

  • Fantastic!

  • ...And he makes it look SOOOO easy.... but it's NOTTTT x_X

No doubt he's in incredible shape under those robes.

  • @kripkilla45 Actually TaiChi was the form of the most elite warriors back in Old China. It looks all soft and dancey, but it is incredibly painful and violent when used as a martials arts application.

However, due to its smooth movement, a lot of people use it as relaxation, mind focus and helping the body.

  • i dont think we know all da techniques to things like shalion monks ninjas (ninjitsu) kung fu and other thinqs like dat

  • @kripkilla45 not meant to be... people have to stop equating all martial arts with MMA. Even most tai chi practitioners know that what they are doing is a mental and physical exercise, not a style of fighting.

  • @MobiusCoin Tai Chi Whshu is an oxymoron. Tai Chi is not "Just" and exercise or "mental and physical exercise". "Tai Chi Chuan" by definition is "Grand ultimate fist." Most Tai Chi Done today is not actually Tai Chi. Most of it is crap. This video is crap. It looks cool. But it is not Tai Chi. Real Push hands competitions in Chen village wind up with many broken ribs, and so many other injuriers. Tai Chi Wushu and "Tai Chi done just as exercise" is the same as MMA Ballet.

  • @MobiusCoin It is not Tai Chi without the real world fighting applications. It can not be called Tai Chi Chuan uinless you train a complete fighting system.

  • very practiced movement,i must say tho that i prefer the art of Tae Kwon Doe..the art of defense with the empty hand

  • although taichi training is especially good to gain body strength and balance. coz taichi practicioners have incredible body strenght and balance

  • well, actually, wu shu means "national martial art" and kung fu means "time and discipline" that can be taken as mastering something, and avery martial art in the entire universe can be called wushu, and also called kung fu when it gets mastered, and so for other activies, for axmple karate means the empty hand path, so, avery bare handed tech can be called karate, and yes, he is doin tai ji quan, not in the traditional way we all know, but it looks like he has worked hard on it, thats the point

  • yes!!

i love it wen people who actually know wat they are talking about comment

nice work thank you ..very much

  • If memory serves me he is doing the 56 tai chi chuan form which mixes the 5 basic styles of tai chi chuan. So this is authentic tai chi.

  • actually wushu means just "martial art" and kung fu means "effort" or "skill", but the rest of your definitions are pretty much spot on, i just thought i should polish that up for you :) also tai ji quan means "Ultimate Fist" :) just thought i would share it :)

  • I don't know what this guy is doing but it is NOT Tai Chi. Wushu is not Kung Fu it is akin to comparing a sword you buy at the mall to one hand forged in the traditional way. Sure the one from the mall might be pretty but it is useless for combat.

  • this is tai chi, it is a more advanced form of the martial art and can be used in combat, the regular tai chi you see old people do in parks in china are only basic forms that helps to keep muscles and joints healthy and stimulates blood flow. Also wushu is the the general term that describes ALL martial arts, as chinese therm wushu literally translates to "martial arts", and kung fu means "effort", which is required by ALL martial arts.

  • @Hongers1 problem is there are two meaning to "WuShu" The one you described and the other one used to describe this video. The other "WuShu" is the acrobatic peoples rebublic of China nonsence. It looks pretty, but Contemporary Wushu is just Acrobatics. They do not train fighting, they do not train application. The correct term to Replace traditional "Wushu" as you describe it (generic term for chinese martial arts) is now Koushu or Goushu.

  • @bobsciascia i am totally aware of the 2 meanings. But people train in wushu to learn the absolute fundamentals of Chinese martial arts, such as stance, strength and flexibility, and then they can either choose to go on to training combat such as sanda, or they can continue to perfect their acrobatics. I did wushu since i was 6 years old, and i've been doing sanda since i was 12, even though wushu doesn't provide you with much combat training, it provides excellence fundamentals for combat.

  • and clearly you don't understand enough about chinese martial arts to know that wushu and kung fu are interchangeable terms, i've been doing chinese martial arts since i was 6 years old and i'm 19 now, and i can tell you there are more to wushu then the flashy stuff, you learn this thing called sanda with is freestyle combat of wushu/kungfu. Also quite a few of their fighters are trained in Sanda. So clearly you are a noob who knows nothing about martial arts, so shut up.

  • fucking retard only ever claps when he jumps, as if his movements arent just as amazing

  • Half way through I started thinking it would be hilarious if he got tackled by a giant constumed mascot.

@jspovey1 I was thinking the same thing. People should stfu if they think the quick movements are the only ones worth clapping for.

  • i still like master zhu tian cai chen zhen lei and chen xiao wang better... XD

  • he moves so smooth

  • the music is so peaceful :)

  • There is no better martial art, only better students. any "champion" muay thai, judo, wushu whatever would agree with that.

  • @screwyouall98

love this point. it's so correct.

many who criticize cannot even perform well in any style

while others can do incredible things even just improvising.

  • wow

  • I am amazed! why can't I do things like him :o

  • because you did not start at three?

  • 我爱功夫

  • You know nothing.

  • there's no such thing as a martial art you can't use in real life.

  • nice but its just a little bored

  • here is the song name

    铁血丹心

  • Thanks for posting. Just plain beautiful.

  • can you tell me who this person is? his skill is incredibly beautiful.

  • wow

  • this is cool

  • I mean Zhou Bin

  • Chen Bin from Fujian

  • heel knap

  • float like a butterfly, sting like a butterfly!

  • this looks a lot more powerful than the regular tai chi.

  • footbal ftw!

  • That's beautiful ! I train taekwon-do but I admire wushu as whole !

  • great strong basics, nice wushu taiji form! 5 stars from masteringwushu . com

  • great form! fun to watch this guy

  • The difference is not outside but inside..

  • OMG!!! the body control is impressive!!

  • Sem comentário o atleta é muito bom

  • Zhou Bin is so cool!

  • why do people keep showing off saying they can do better this is a demonstration or show not a competition to see whos better they dont get off the stage and bragged how they wooped someone in friggin kung fu -.- its for show and for fun.. plus their sponsored by china rofl

  • all of you: intellectual posturing is not the grand ultimate. keep practicing...

  • jaaajja cualquiera

  • i am learing chen style for 8 months for now...i can almost do same..

  • haha... in your dreams

  • flying phoniex, if u noe nothing about modern day wushu juz shut up.

  • Thats just it. Modern Wushu is a performing art. yes there are traditional wushu movements in it, however it is a performaing art. Futher, I have studied changquan (cha, hua, hong, pao quan) and traditional taijiquan (chen, yang, wu, hao, and sun) for for ten years and modern wushu for four years, in addition taught the subjects at the university for college credit. I know a little bit about the subject, its sad that many do not. That is why modern wushu (peforming arts) is the way it is.

  • Does anyone knwo the name of the music?

  • @flyingphoenix : He has studied Chen Style Taijiquan but for the olympics this has been an IOA demonstration. There is nothing about tradition in a pride demonstration, just awesomeness. I have been there and know the skills of these guys having participated in the championships themselves. There have been very proficient taiji practitioners there that would habe satisfied you ;)

  • Just because a person does well at a tourament or in a demonstration that does not mean they understand Taijiquan. The mere fact that this person does moves that dont belong in taiji or shows the the principles of taiji shows his lack of understanding of the theorectical underpinnings of the art.

  • what is that soothing music like water down a stream its lovely

  • The taiji don't like me. this video change all.

  • This is not true taijiquan. He violated all principles of tajiquan. Its said that the wonderful art of taiji has been reduced to a show and tell session. Its evident this person does not have any knowledge of tajiquan. Sad. That is why the true art is lost.

  • i thought taiji was a slow motion of an anciant deadly martial art any way i would like to see you do better

  • Go back and study the theoretical and philosophical underpinning of Yang Chen Fu, Chen Fake, WuYu Xiang, Sun LuTang, and WuJian Quan to open your understanding.

  • I like this song is my favorate song when I was young. bring back my memory

  • What is the song called? Know where I can find more of it? I really like the flute, and Erhu, but when passionately combined in orchestrated form, I melt. Please, help! I don't know where to start looking.

  • this guy would get a gold medal at the olympic games !!

  • it's just...amazing :)

  • He moves like leaf on wind

  • What's the music called???

  • It actually tailored from the Chen style for demontration

  • This is Taiji Free Style with difficult jumps and movements, it's a Modern Taiji.

  • I've got some basic trainning about TaiJi in my PE lesson.but Totally different form.

  • what kind of tai chi form is this? sun style?

  • trés belle vidéo,trés beau mouvements, bcp de plaisir à regarder ce clip quand on voit la souplesse qu'il y met
