This was a great video, Jesse, even if I was a little worried you were going to crash into one of those lamposts! :) It did look like you were cycling sideways.
I see Youtube, or at least the nerdfighter and other connected communities of vloggers on it, mainly as a social networking site too - I've made some friendships through it which I really value. Also, it's a chance to get creative in a way that I don't get much chance to irl, and to discover new music and film makers.
I'm on YouTube because I'm inspired by the imaginative content and the personalities represented on it, and I get creative satisfaction out of making videos and engaging with other YouTubers on a personal level.
I'm on YouTube to engage and listen to a growing community that I have only begun to understand. I am still trying to figure out what my channel is all about. It's a mish-mash -- and it works well right now -- but I want my vlogs to revolve around a central theme in the future.
I'm also on YouTube to keep a record of my own life's events-- I will really treasure the videos I've made when I want to remember what my life was like after I finished college.
Yeah, if I had had more time, I would have created a better rig for my camera, but I only had about 20 minutes to come up with something, and I'm actually surprised it worked as well as it did. I'm currently designing a better rig for future videos, as I actually really enjoyed the biking vlog.
I've always really enjoyed YouTube for that myself.

I may do that :)

Yeah, the rig was a bit weird, I know. I'm working on a design for a better one.
I love the communities here on YouTube. It's some of the best stuff I have ever been involved in.

Yes, I've been trying to find a niche for myself too. Part of me thinks I should keep it free-form, but part of me craves a bit more structure.

Great video Jesse. Though from the way your head was cut off, it felt like you were always leaning to the side and were going to tip over xD
I'm on YouTube because making videos is really fun and I love the creative content that my friends are posting.

Oh really? I'll have to check that out. As I develop more animations, I'll be posting those on my channel too.
