  • Was wondering if I could use a clip from this video in my movie? I'll give you full credit, of course :)

  • Awesome video! I have been thinking about getting a d90 and after I saw this, I know I'm getting a d90!

  • lol

  • beautiful.

  • What Was The Sound Track ?

  • does the TMTS D90 rescaler resolve the "jellycam" rolling shutter problem when there are fast motions in the fame?

  • I still cant believe how good the video on this camera looks. I've been needing a new still camera and video camera. This might be an all in one solution.

  • @PancakeRecipes I personally do not like the video on the D90. If you don't correct it digitally, it won't look like this at all straight from the camera. Flickering and rolling shutter "jellycam" is a big problem on the D90 without editing

  • Cool video !

  • Beautiful video! Congrats!!

  • Loved it. What lens did you use?

  • Great video, love the D90, just a great allrounder!

  • Really good!

  • Amazing video, what lens did you use?

  • Very Impressive :-)

  • speachless

    Warmest regards!

    Andreea

  • Amazing!

Still needs a lot of post to work around the D90 disadvantages tho.. but thanks for sharing! this is going to help me with my D90 a lót! Hej då!

  • Phragmites

  • Absolutely stunning wow

  • @ajc116 - Thanks!

  • @ajc116 - Thanks!

  • liked it good work and nice editing!

  • Thank you! Glad you liked it. :)

  • Very very nice.

  • Thanks a lot!

  • I think my D90 is broken because it doesn't do any of the awesome things that yours does. Nice job.

  • Heh, thanks ;)

  • cablefreak, you did an outstanding job on this.

it's really amazing looking - everything about it.

  • Thanks so much! Really glad you liked it that much. I'm really a beginner at movie editing and shooting, but trying to learn more and more. :)

  • this is amazing! great work.

  • Thanks a lot! :)

  • so, you used a 70-200mm lens? What was your aperture set at?

  • Yes, the Nikkor 70-200 f/2.8 VR is very nice for video use with the D90 due to its large aperture and excellent balance on the tripod with the collar. I used the widest aperture (f/2.8) throughout this video since I was operating at very dim lighting conditions and wanted the shallow DOF. The quality of the bokeh is also a great advantage with the lens.

  • Magnificent! So well done! The scenes that you chose, the perfect transitions, and the music make this the best video of its kind that I've seen. Keep up the great work!

And thanks for showcasing the D90's video capabilities. I've been considering getting the camera, and this video puts me a [big] step closer to it.

  • Thanks a ton, that's some very kind words :) I would definitely recommend getting the D90 (if you're on a budget, otherwise get the D300s :)

  • Do you also have a D300s? If so, how do you like it compared to your D90?

  • Nope, but I would love getting one! :) The D300s has some pretty clear advantages when it comes to the sound input and stereo recording, then there is the autofocus during recording that is missing on the D90, but frankly I'm using MF all the time since I mostly shoot slow scenes and nature. Not sure if the D300s has much more to bring in terms of less compression or better rescaling, guess we'll just wait and see what the reviewers say. :)

  • THanks!! i didint know that some d90 plugin for Fcp exist!!! i'll try what you say shortly!!

  • Good luck mate! :)

  • Wow! nice footage man! i have a question for you..! in what file type did you convert your work for having hd in youtube?! watch mine...

  • Thanks! I replied on your clip. Forgot to say, your autumn vid was really nice, very cool! :)

  • Wow ! Talk about a nice video !

  • Thanks a lot! :)

  • very nice. how is this camera. i plan on getting it but still not sure about it. the reviews still dont convince me

  • Thanks! The D90 is fantastic. Just get one, you won't regret it. The picture quality equals the D300, I use both and they match each other very well. I don't have to pick the D300 due to image quality. Be prepared for a lot practice to get used the film-mode, it's nothing like camcorders but much more creative and "manual". I really couldn't be more happy with it, even used it at a wedding session lately as backup body. Good luck with the decision!
